He's very composed on the ball. It's hard to assess what his positioning would be like from what I've seen. In the team warm ups/downs, he's no slouch when the complete sprint to half way line.Dazzler21 said:
He's not got the pace to play RB! He's no Gomez.mendonca said:Maybe Elerewere would be good to try at RB as the season progresses (and he signs a contract).
Excellent strike that from Maatsen.
Barker however did okay there, could he be converted? He could be second choice for now.
Not convinced on Barker for the first team myself. I've watched him in some U23 games, inc the loss v Erith and Belvedere.2 -

Be surprised if we have to worry about Famewo being recalledlancashire lad said:being a typical Charlton supporter I'm worrying that Lee, Arter, Famewo & Leko will be recalled in JanuaryBailey said:
Have a look at the pace on the ball, thats what beats him, its curving at pace. Not a goalkeeping error for me.se9addick said:
Do you not think he did enough after that to redeem himself?Chris_from_Sidcup said:I saw enough today to tell me that Adkins hasn't lost the dressing room.
Could and should have won by more and on another day those goals will come. Great to see bodies on the line to stop them scoring late on.
Only negative for me was the keeper, that was piss poor to concede with a free kick hit right at the spot he was standing in.
Worth a watch or a skim through.
It takes you back to the 70's and part of me admires the kid (the Vlogger) and part of me thinks he's like a Palace fan. Cod 1 CAFC 2.1 -
Watched that kid's blog ..... good to see footage from behind the goal.
That freekick equaliser: Macca was a yard off his line when that freekick was taken, then trying to reach behind himself as the ball was looped over his head.
Very well struck freekick though. Credit due.

Inniss played 14 out of 46 games last season. Unfortunately Ryan haven't been sharp or fit in any game this season (coming off in 2 games) and he have reached the stage in his career where how can these muscle injuries cease ?
As Inniss has more of a Rugby forward's frame I wonder if the Cafc medical team should see seek advice on how these guys stay fit with their giant body weight ?1 -
Not wanting to give anyone ideas, but the two games we've won this season, I've been in Lewisham Hospital.2

By playing less than an hour in every game and no mid week games at the very top.soapboxsam said:killerandflash said:

You can get away with it in most outfield positions, but not center half. You would have to use him like Chucks.0 -
Definitely wasn’t looped over his head Oggster. No way. He hit it much too hard for the ball to loop. I’d say the issue was that he took a half step to his right and the ball went the other way, and fast.Oggy Red said:Watched that kid's blog ..... good to see footage from behind the goal.

Very well struck freekick though. Credit due.Curbs was interesting on Charlton TV talking about how he always stuck a player on one of posts for free kicks, and it almost always worked. The free kick taker would know that the keeper wouldn’t cover that post, so would try to get it over the defender’s head and under the bar. He reckoned the only person who achieved that was Thierry Henry, an occasion I remember well as I was in the JS Stand with an Arsenal mate. Weren’t we the two clubs in the Premier League at the time? How the mighty have fallen.1 -
