    He will be able to accumulate some extra points from tournaments he missed last year you would think. Currently sitting just inside the world’s top 90 on the live rankings with 761 points. 

    He would need 1100+ to break top 50, 2000+ to break top 20 seems a mile away.

    Murray will skip the clay court season. Won’t help his ranking much unless he can find some hard court action elsewhere in the world.

    His next big opportunity to make a splash upwards the rankings is likely going to be Wimbledon.

    Murray will play in Doha (ATP 250, top seed Shapovalov) next week. And will play in Dubai (ATP 500, top seed Djokovic) the following week.

    Dan Evans set to be the 4th seed in Doha.

    Real Jekyll and Hyde performances from Murray here in Doha. Against Taro he looked sharp and dominated the game right from the start. Last night was the opposite, and not helped as Bautista Agut had one of those days where everything he tried, worked.

    Norrie is no. 1 seed in the tournament. He will face no. 2 seed Opelka in the final.

    Murray will play a qualifier in his first round. Evans has been drawn against no. 2 seed Rublev. Very unfortunate.

    Norrie also has a tough first round draw, facing world no. 29 and upcoming star Carlos Alcaraz.

    Top seeds in Dubai are Djokovic, Rublev, Auger-Aliassime and Sinner. Top seeds in Mexico are Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas and Nadal.
