  • We're an utter shambles but at least Doncaster are worse. He has to go.
  • Reckon Curbs would be up for it after intending to him there
  • Any chance we can give the next manager a bit more than 6 games?
  • Isn't Roy Keane looking for a job? 😆
Good call, he’ll make Bowyer look like a pussycat 😉.
  • No doubt, it’s a fucking shit show. This is no Fergie type situation, it’s not going to suddenly click into place, onwards to majestic things. Time for Adkins to go and sad as it may be, a clean sweep across the board. Desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures.
  • Curbs 2/1 on

Jacko and Euell were here under Bowyer when we got promoted. Bowyer got us promoted having been here under Robinson who was absolute toss.

Love to know how many training sessions all you experts have seen to know that Jackson and Euell are such terrible coaches. They don't pick the team. They don't change the team every week. Those are Adkins' decisions.

None of us know a thing about their calibre as coaches or their potential as managers.

Jackson has been coaching our decline all the way from the Championship to now near the bottom of League One.

    It's not a ringing endorsement.
Fairly sure he was on the touchline at Wembley when we got promoted. And when we were flying high in the championship before Taylor for injured and Gallagher got recalled by Chelsea. That doesn't fit in with your agenda though so let's just pretend it never happened.
And I suppose the last two years don't fit in with yours?
  • Im sticking with the glass half full brigade on this one, give him till Christmas so we can be REALLY REALLY sure Nige is shit. We wouldn't want to look like a trigger happy basket case club do we?

Besides look at Ipswich, they made a ton of signings in the window, and they're doing....oh wait....erm....ok nevermind.

The fact we played alright for so long and still lost is proper worrying, Been reluctant to say Adkins out purely because I don't see Sandgaard spending the money in paying him off and getting a replacement, and possibly replacement staff in. If he does, probably be no Jan window budget.

    Recruitment was a complete failure.

That's not to excuse Adkins at all, ultimately, not getting the right players in is showing, "top 6 when it clicks"

Geriatric Watson, disinterested Arter, long term injured JFC, forgotten man Dobson, Morgan, Clare and Gilbey. Top 6 midfield? Really?  Gilbey probably but the others... Nah.

Pressing game? Half the players are blowing out their arses after 20 minutes.

Building from the back? 4 centre backs, 5 with Deji. 2 of them signed this summer window. Pearce, Inniss, Famewo, Lavelle. Not a single one can be considered a ball playing CB.

Kirk and Stockley... Kirk maybe needs to settle still, Stockley gone from hero to zero, Davison embarrassing him.

Not taking blame from Adkins as he's just not addressing the problem, they can't press and they can't play, so stop trying to get them to! Just play to their shite level of ability.

Or is he under orders to promote this so called "style", if we can see it ain't working, I'd fecking hope an experienced manager,/ coach could, and after all, he managed to get the best out of most of them last season playing Bowyer ball...

    But something's gotta change.
  • Who could possibly do a worse job?
    Maybe Fraeye, that's it.
Sorry but that was one of the worst nights ever.
No! Not sorry, soaking wet and angry.
  • It is possible he will turn it around but i don't think he will, and if he does it will take too long. Bottom line is I can't see him turning it around and something has to change - I'm sorry it hasn't worked out but we have to hit the reset button again!

Having said that I personally don't think TS will make a change any time soon

Erm. He's been there when we've done well, he's been there when we've done shit as both a player and a coach. Either way it does not lend any credibility to whether he would be a good manager or not, so it's a pointless argument to make.

Can’t believe loads of people are saying give him until Saturday. Yh and what if we win? Surely we are just prolonging the agony. It’s clear there is a real line of fight and relisiamce which was demonstrated by the way we folded at the end. For me TS will start earning himself unneeded flack if he Doesn’t act now
I’m not saying give him until Saturday. I’m saying I think that’s what will happen. Big difference

Precisely. As I said originally, nobody on here has got sufficient knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes to make any judgement whatsoever about his potential ability as a manager.
  • Sandgaard needs to be strong. I know it is his money but giving JJ 10 games isn't going to cost him and might work. This isn't going to work with Adkins.
  • "Murray giving Les Reed 10 games isn't going to cost him and might work."

What do you think they do hand out the bibs and put the cones out?

We’ve never got on a managers back after six games, Adkins has had 20 and we’ve significantly regressed under him.

Other than 3 points Saturday he will be gone…if he hasn’t already…looked a beaten man in his interview
  • 4 points adrift of safety.  If he’s not gone we do not win Saturday then you’ve got two weeks of anxiety.  It’s got to be done now.
  • in one more game that's basically a quarter of the season, where we'll have either 6, 7 or 9 points, just let that sink in.........
  • What evidence is there that Adkins is actually managing anything?
We are an assemblage of something or other, like a meal made out of the random uneaten stuff you have in the kitchen cupboard or past it's sell by date in the freezer. Occasionally you might feel a bit less hungry, like the accidental points total we have accumulated, but the reality is a haphazard gamble on proper nutrition most of the time.
All Adkins is doing is rearranging the tins and jars hanging around in the pantry.
I can do that, you can do that, how on this earth can anybody have been less effectual with this club, these players, and these circumstances this season?
I reckon Sue Parkes would be able to do better!

A bit like bubble and squeak then?
