being at elland road and the decider at st andrews, dear me noone hardly in the charlton end at elland road, they gave us the whole away end and we took no more then 200,i was one of those om proud to say.
does anyone remember an incident in the second 'home' game at Upton Park, on a Sunday against Derby. I think a player was down getting injured and their goalie was just resting against the hoarding behind the goal.
Next thing you know someone had crept up behind him and pulled him back over the hording, with his legs hanging in the air.

Someone tell me i haven't just made that up !!!
you haven't made that up , i think it was done by a bloke called lee that PBS and i used to play footy with
One that sticks in the mind is the miracle of the pompey fan who had been in a wheelchair at the front till they equalised and he was up jumping about all over the place and giving us fist signs. Amazing the effect a goal can have on your well being and why not eh......
The feeling of disbelief and jubilation when we were 2-0 up against Ipswich after 15 minutes or so in the Cup game of 83 or thereabouts.
The disappointment and despair when we lost 3-2 in the last couple of minutes after Eric Gates conned a penalty the ref by diving from outside the area into the area following a magnificent covering tackle by Les Berry.
A game away to Norwich in the old First Division springs to mind under Lennie. We were 1-0 up & desperately hanging on when a ball is hooked to wards our goal line only for our Full back Mark Reid to scamble it away with his thigh, the referee awards the goal & Reid was so incensed he chased the ref up the pitch & then accidentally Head Butted him & knocked him sparko. Game was delayed for about ten minutes while the ref was treated & the goal stood.

I remember that. The thing that stuck in my throat that day was that the fat lino who took over then chalked off a Jimmy Melrose goal and brought play back for a foul - on Melrose! He also said afterwards that we was watching across the line and the Narwich goal definately didn't cross the line but he couldn't overrule the ref. Why the **** not?!!!
Anyone at Bury Away when kiely was in goal for them and they were doing there half time draw and charlton fan pretended to the steward he had won the jackpot draw and proceeded to walk along the front of there stand much to there annoyance. Think he returned with nothing?
As already mentioned El Kaks stinger towards some Naarwich fan dishing out abuse in our 4-0 drubbing of the budgies and Hunts winner in the 3-2 at Cov in the FA cup
Brown and Morts goals in the 4-1 victory against bradford, plus Peter Beagrie getting sent off for studding Kins and trying to land one on Brownie.
About 10 of us under my dads umbrella at Swindon in the rain (Steve Jones the scorer) 1-0
Too many to all put down but afew that spring to mind....... 1. 1st ever game last game of 76/77 season standing on the south terrace i thought there were 100,000 people there when in reality there was only about 10,000 well i was only 7 2. Several away trips in 85/86 season but one that springs to mind was Boro it was freezing with a few hundred of us standing in the corner with no refreshments. I think it was the police/stewards who organised a mobile canteen thing to serve us hot bovril and then allowed us all to sit in the covered area..... 3. Oxford away days always lost on the pitch but there was always a group of cafc escorted arround the edge of the pitch from the home end. 4. Promotion at Carlisle 85/86 went by train to be greated at Carlisle station by old bill, dogs and Charlton die may 86 spray painted on the station. very erie atmosphere when we started being escorted towards the ground when we suddenly heard plenty of noise and was soon to realise that every pub we passed was crammed full of Charlton. Then the game the o.g. and chairing Lenny around the pitch at the end. 5. Chelsea away 88 Leaburn losing his rag. Miller equaliser and Chelsea taking abit of a kicking in the away end. 6. Allan Simonsens short stay and me and my brov getting shown around the dressing room just before the Carlisle home game in 82/83 getting authographs and chatting to Killer only 20-30 ins before kick off as the players were getting changed for the game. 7. Peanuts Peanuts roatsed peanuts...... in the covered end 8. Play off semi finals v Ipswich and then the final with Clive's hatrick 9. Man U in the cup..... and on the way home popping into an offy to get some beers for the mini bus bumping into big fat Peter Garland doing the same. 10. 1st game back at the valley v emotional.... 11. Championship season to get back up..... 12. Morts away at Millwall 1st time i saw us beat them in god nows how many attempts.......
Loads that have already been mentioned - Norwich away a few seasons ago though comes to mind! drinking outside the pub opposite the station, all of a sudden my peripherial vision spotted a naked fella about to jump over the pub into the waters below - the police must have been thinking 'finally something for us to do, this lot have been far to happy-drunk for our liking'

lol, i was going past the pub in a bus as that was happening (yes, i was staying at the uni digs of one of my harem)
1. As a few people - Valley Floyd Road against Spurs - wanted to cry but not in front of the Sky cameras! 2. A naked fella coming on the valley pitch in December 1998 and kissing Gareth Southgate on the lips! 3. Clive Mendonca's second goal at Wembley to make it 2-2, tears of happiness down my face! 4. Pardew celebrating Hughesy's winner against Villa by running up and hugging an old man, once again tears of joy down my face!
So many more that make me realise how much I love this club!
Too many memories......been going since mid 70's and here just a few off the top of my head after reading some on here - and in no particular order:
1) play off final at St andrews.......after going 1-0 down turning to my 2 brothers to say thats it, only to see tears streaming down little bruvs face (he must have been about 15) - almopst losing a shoe after our 2nd goal as the surge left us 10 rows closers to the front.
2) play offs at Elland Rd - Pre-match warm-up & Jimmy Melrose kicking back a ball into our end that the Leeds fans had been playing with - Priceless.
3) Atmosphere at The Vally after Newts goal v Ipswich in play-offs in 1998 - a balmy late spring evenong just went even more balmy !
4) Seeing Leaburns hat-trick - would never had believed it if weren't there.
5) Seeing Simonsen's debut for the reserves........and the link up play with Killer that almost made goal of the century.
6) Cup tie v Coventry in 2000.......2-0 down after 10 mins and their fans singing "can we play you every week" and us reply back with the same at half-time when we got back to 2-2-.
7) Cup tie v Spurs in early 84 (?) - 1-1 and chanting " aizlewood's better than Hoddle" - reply snowed off for weeks and losing when is was finallly played - convinced we would have won if it were played when planned.
Away to palarse when we won 0-1, one of the addicted was being removed by the police for singing too loud, or something and a chant went up of "all the police are wan-ers". The Lass was next to me and she then stood on her seat and joined in the chant - I then knew that after 22 years of marriage she was converted to one of the Addicted, oh yes we also beat palarse.
Lots of other memorable incidents but that was great!

Anyone also remember the Norwich boot girls(skinheads) who would ambush away fans arriving by train?
If only .....

That one game mirrored all the emotions!

Which reminds me of the 2-2 match there in the late 80s, a great performance 2-0 up with five minutes left and thinking we've done it...
