As I said. I don’t get all the negativity. I’d welcome Adkins with open arms and think he will take us up next season.
Would love him to achieve it with JJ by his side but I reckon he will bring his own team with him.
Anyway let’s all try and get behind him if he is appointed as our new Manager and see where the journey takes us.11 -

Inspiring choices was the question not everything Tom Dick and Harry out of work currently. What makes a hell of lot more sense is to wait to the summer to find the right person In a club currently than someone who has been out of work for nearly 2 years.eaststandmike said:

Yeah I'd had it mentioned to me on Monday but I didn't know if it was just a name or had any substance to it at that point. I don't really know why I deleted my initial comment tbh. In terms of the source, I obviously can't say who it is but it's someone I met around the time of the takeover. I didn't think there was anything worth sharing before because there wasn't really any info that hadn't already been mentioned.

What I am lost with is the fact that Adkins seems to have this label of being “boring”(Worryingly, I think people are getting that purely from his name.. somehow!)
Yet we was all on board with Paul Cook, who is known to play not the best football and be pretty long ball which seems to work for him.So why was everyone so keen on Cook but seems to be Adkins is such a hard sale?
Seeing people tagging TS on Twitter saying no to Adkins and even some are saying “don’t undo your good work so far” scares me. I honestly think TS needs to close his Twitter account ASAP.19 -

Most managers will "fail' in the end. Or at the beginning of their tenure if they are not given time.
If Abramovich was in charge at United when Man utd were losing 2-0 to Cafc, Ferguson would have gone the same way as Frank Lampard. Even under the Martin Edwards era he was one cup defeat away from the sack.

My instinct is that this would be another mid table finish in L1 under his helm. He is totally barking too. Whereas Jackson could be something special....3

Jackson is bargain bucket. I love the bloke, but we don't need to take a gamble on cheap managers anymore. Priority is getting out of this league. If we're appointing managers purely on sentiment, we may as well have stuck with Bowyer and enjoyed mid table.
