Amos: 7.5 Brilliant saves. Got us playing forward quickly. Even nearly stopped the pen. -0.5 for the shocking roll out mopped up by gills.
Matthews: 6.5 Quiet trying to remember what he did going forward or defensively. + 0.5 for getting into it with Evans.
Gunter: 6 wasn't his normal excellent self. Partly down to an in natural position. Also unnecessary penalty even if it shouldn't have been given. Also he is at fault for the 1 o. 1 with Amos not being offside, could have cost us 2 goals today.
Pratley: 7.2 actually quite good at centre back today, captains performance therefore MOM. Only criticism is he plays to many flicks balls like a midfielder, rather than safe balls an experienced center back would.
Maatsen: 6.4 want to score him higher because he was involved with the game minute 1 to 90. Not all was good in that involvement though. Was getting beaten defensively in the first half, lost possession whilst attacking in the second half and gave some sloppy fouls. But hey that's why he's on loan on league one. Still did more good than most.
Watson: 3.2 willing to open the debate again, but I really am missing what others are seeing.I probably need to see us play live to see if he actually has any value. on the the stream he is dog shit. Terrible pass selection ( today they didn't even seem to complete), slowest thinker on the pitch, never available, doesn't break anything up, genuinely shocking.
Morgan: 6.9 played for the team today, delivered some good crosses got on the ball alot because he made himself available. Nothing spectacular, but certainly didn't put a foot wrong for me today.
Shinnie: 7 easily with Chuks in being classier than any other players in the League so far. Would have scored higher if something has led to a strong goal scoring chance today.
Maddison: 4 another one for a lambasting. Bowyer wondered what was wrong with him. Well in Marcus Maddison world, which the other players have the honour of living in, the ball is either his or lost selfish and not offering much. The man is the anti-Shinnie.
Washington: 5.9 soooo... I love Washington for his work rate & fitness & sometimes quality play. Today he offered none of these and the penalty wasn't a shocker, but not good enough for a nominated taker. Willing to accept the flogged on international duty excuse.
Bogle: 6 actually played well, will have critics because he isn't Anele but I feel he has been performing well even if not scoring yet. However buying a penalty like that and then being a knob about someone else taking it.... Poor. So you get marked down -0.6
Aneke: 7.1 came on and blew the gills away. Much higher quality player than Bogle, but curse of the super sub, he just always seems to come on and score when we need it.
Referee: 2 potentially a bit generous. All decisions he made were wrong, all advise he accepted was wrong, letting players off the pitch hold up play was wrong. Man needs reviewing for dismissal after the fourth official has been sacked. Only gets 2 as the result is still our teams fault.
Gilbey: 7 if Anekes score counts, so does Gilby and Smyth. Class, if he's rusty performing like that, then it explains why I was excited at the beginning of the season.
Smyth: 6.2 good assist, was disappointed not to see him start today as o thought he could stretch Gillingham giving us an opportunity to cut through for the likes of Bogel.
