Not everyone needs to be mates in a team. Can’t imagine what Roy Keane was like at United in the dressing room. Sometimes a little friction or even over confidence can spur people on.

Would be a top signing. If anyone can influence him in a time in his career where he is struggling, at a crossroads, and feeling down, it’s Bowyer.
Yes, the character, spirit, and dynamics of the group is so important, and if he was to join, he would have to work hard. However, people are forgetting that Bow would have worked with all different types of characters and personalities when playing, and even when coaching.
The managers Maddison has had over the years have never been at the level Bowyer has in the past. If he wants to make it in this career, he won’t have any better example as a manager right now than Bowyer.
His talent is not in question, and I am sure our manager would quickly be able to work out what he needs in order to thrive.
A team of this below looks quite strong for League One:
That is without any other new signings, without Pearce, Forster-Caskey, Pratley, Lapslie, Morgan, Levitt, Oztumer, Aneke, Washington, Bonne (if still here) etc.10 -
You’ve missed Gilbey too who is going to be a big player for us I feel.4

I would imagine he'd be played in tandem with say, Washington ..... or perhaps the more central forward in a 4-3-3.

Ok, so now the other dilemma. How do you get him for about £1300 per week?0

Keep up!
Okay, I let you into the secret: since the embargo was lifted we can offer an individual player as much as we like, as long as the aggregate pay of the 22 senior players in the squad doesn't exceed the wage cap.
Those players under the age of 21 on 1st January 2020 are exempt.
We can pay them whatever we like - and it doesn't affect the wage cap.

What are we estimating our current playing squad bill to be for the year at present? Very approx of course?
I'm half asleep too. Forgotten we had Gilbey on this page, I'm pretending to be Golfie. Its fun!

The two 10s would be Maddison and Williams with Gilbey more of the box to box type allowing the ‘box’ that was used so effectively before.
The way it worked so well was because we had full backs who pushed really high. Having Matthews and Doughty do that role with the pace of Oshilaja and Famewo protected by Watson, we would have enough cover should we push them very high. What Oshilaja and Famewo also allows us in this formation is the comfort and ability to swivel out to the right or left to cover the positions left vacant by the full backs pushed high.
That way, we dominate the midfield as we have 4 as the box, we have width, and the creativity from Gilbey, Williams, and Maddison. The willing runner of the channels by Washington, and the finisher of Schwartz.Amos

Maddison is kind of perfect for our situation. Undoubtedly with TS’ money we could afford better, and perhaps Maddison thinks he should be playing in the Championship. But we’ve only got £2000 a week to play with, and he’s out of work. You just know Bowyer would get him back to his best again.0

We don't have only 2k a week to play with.
We have on average 2k a week to play with. Could be 4 or 6 if you have some on less. It's also based on the full 22 being on 2k a week. Realistically we'll have a number of young loans and youth players that won't count towards that. If we have a super strong 16 and them a bang average 6, it should be achieved.0 -
