Have any people on here read Pillars Of The Earth? Thinking of buying it, but i'm not sure if a 1,000 page plus book about monastreys in medieval England will be all that interesting. I'd like to read the book first before watching the tv show.

Highly recommended ... one of the best music books ever ... incredible recall for events considering how out of it he was .... first 100 pages cover Dartford, Bexleyheath, Sidcup etc.
Really enjoyed this book.
Yeh completly agree just hedged Slash's book which is another one I got engrossed in.
