    Tin Cup
    The Damned United.
I was about to mention Tin Cup!

    Any Given Sunday.
  • Interviewed Michael Sheen once, and after filming sked him about Damned United. Said he was an aspiring junior pro footballer, and the bit where he volleyed the ball inti the top right hand corner was first take (after I asked him how long it took to film it).
    So:
    Damned United
    Ha’way the Lads (JS biopic)
    Slapshot.
  • Sorry ,  probably not thread etiquette to repeat yourself but just got to give' The club 'another plug can't believe no one else has mention it .would really recommend it.
  • I quite enjoyed Fever Pitch at the time, despite all the Arsenal adulation.
  • This Sporting Life

Old school you can feel the tackles...
this is one of the sport films recommended on here that i watched this weekend as had it taped from talking pictures a few months back. Richard Harris was superb in it. very Brando-esque in his performance.

Agreed. Aussie Rules if memory serves me right but a good film.
  • Any Given Sunday.
I DID miss that one out.
    My apologies.

Tin Cup and Happy Gilmore aren't really sports' films.

Youngblood - Rob Lowe in the lead role!

  • Enjoyed 'Shelby ' but I do like a GT40.
