Interviewed Michael Sheen once, and after filming sked him about Damned United. Said he was an aspiring junior pro footballer, and the bit where he volleyed the ball inti the top right hand corner was first take (after I asked him how long it took to film it).

this is one of the sport films recommended on here that i watched this weekend as had it taped from talking pictures a few months back. Richard Harris was superb in it. very Brando-esque in his performance.

Agreed. Aussie Rules if memory serves me right but a good film.
