Warnock would be a good shout. Played off the park and should have been 3-0. Only looked effective when playing hoof ball

If you play three out of form teams in a row, lose them all and don't even score then relegation is the only result

We've got no chance if we keep giving the ball away at every clearance and don't test their keeper for 90 minutes

    Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield and Middlesbrough.

    3 games, 3 defeats, 0 goals scored.

    Simply pathetic.

Top two lines is all Bowyer should need to say to the boys. Absolutely atrocious stat!

If that was 3 defeats and no goals against top 10 sides, we'd all accept it, but against bottom half sides and two possible relegated teams. Not good enough!

I am concerned that Bowyer is still unsure of formations in March. Understand the injury list we've had, but the last couple of line ups we've had, i'd expect Bowyer to know what does and doesn't work with those particular sets of players.

Have no idea what Lee gets up to in the week. Assume he fucks off back to the fishing lake, turns up on Saturday and hopes for the best. He has absolutely no idea of what shape to put us in. How many times can we give away an easy lead before he gets the team in to gear. Unacceptable.
  • Sad reality of it is, our team isn’t good enough for The Championship. We wouldn’t have got promoted last season if that was our team
Yes you are spot on with this.

I’m determined to remain positive but, blimey Charlie, they’re making it very very hard to.

Threw everything we had at them second half but the utter lack of quality was so stark to see. Bonne with two big big chances that he’d have taken before his injury. Taylor was in stroppy mode today, his own worst enemy when he’s like that. Best player for us was Matthews, but he continues to cross straight at the first man when it really matters - you’d think one of our strikers would twig, by now, and make a near post run.

Didn’t get a fortunate bounce all game long. Ref allowed so many niggly little fouls to go unpunished and didn’t add nearly enough for time wasting.

Bottom line though, tactics wrong for the first 30 minutes (again), absolute horror show of a goal against (again), not enough quality in the final third (again).

Still time to turn it around but absolutely zero evidence on the last three showings, against, let’s be honest, shit teams, that it’s going to happen.

Our record against teams around us is so so poor.

Results actually went our way today, shame we were too shit for it to matter. Needed at least a point, we needed confidence going to Hull, theyve just been smashed 5-1 by Stoke. Now we are both gonna be lacking anything and 9 times out if 10, weve come out the loser in games when we are both shit (like today).

Massively in trouble, and this is not the team of players you want in a relegation dogfight

  • What a waste of time it all is. We were done for in the transfer window and thats when it became clear that this bunch are up there with the Spivs, Roland and Sunley as rubbish owners. Was Mouthall there today?

Now we are in the bottom 3, I can’t see anyway out of it. Golden opportunity today and we blew it.  We are a poor side that is void of ideas. I don’t want to slate Bowyer, but I’m rapidly losing faith with him. We seem to set up all wrong from the off. The only surprise was we only lost by 1.  The first half was miserable, and although we were better in the 2nd, we could have played until midnight and not scored.

There are at least 5 players in there that are not good enough  for this level - you simply can’t carry that amount and have a chance of staying up.

Hull have conceded 9 in their last 2 games, but I still don’t fancy us to score next week.

Off now to get hammered and forget about Charlton Athletic.

I actually quite enjoyed league 1........!!!!
  • 9 games left, 3 of which are Brentford and Leeds away and of course Millwall at home.

So we effectively have 6 games left and we probably need to win 4.

Looking at the table is a choker and just get the feeling we won't get out of the bottom three again this season. So f'ing depressing.

Lapslie is not championship level. Big mistake playing  1 up front to begin with. They pressed and we had no outlet. Only way I can see us getting out of this is a change in manager

Love that no one is blaming the players and management and instead it's ESI's fault.

    Weird.

Today Taylor went over too easily a few times, I don't believe he dived, but should have had a penalty.

Bonne needs to find that left peg again, scored with it earlier in the season, afraid to pass with it since returning.

    Green I thought played well.

Pearce leaves us exposed often, but today he was hindered more often by Oshilaja.

Oshilaja had one good pass all game and it was very good.

And now next week we have Hull who are on an 11 game run without a win, conceding 29 goals in the process.

No doubt we'll go 5 at the back and play for a fucking draw.
We don't have 5 to play at the back.

Ridiculous comment to be making, even considering the poor form we're in.

This thread often goes into meltdown after a defeat.
    Well today that's fully justified.
I've been supporting this club since the 60s and  I know what a relegation side loos like.

We have absolutely no chance of staying up.
    Fuckin rubbish.
It's not totally justified. We've played better today than the last two and were undone by a mistake. Again.

The players need to start shouldering the blame, as does Bowyer.

Deserved a draw but got nothing. Still don't believe we're down, but if we don't pick up 4 more wins we will be gone

Frighteningly poor performance against a bang average Boro.

All over the shop defensively, gifted a goal again, totally overrun in midfield, next to nothing created in front of goal and no discernable pattern of play.

It feels like the players and coaching staff have been found out. Get in our faces and press us and we will give you the ball and eventually a goal.

How many headers did Taylor win against the number 5? Virtually none and yet our only tactic is to hoof the ball towards him constantly.

No excuse for such a lack of fight in a game as big as that.

Getting fed up with the constant changes of formation, why doesn't the manager know his best formation when we are so far into the season.

I don't see a way out of it. It looks like we'll go down with a whimper.
  • I always believed we would stay up this season. Never a doubt in my mind.

    Until today.

Christ, that match next weekend is unbelievably big now. Way to pile on the pressure lads! Luckily hull are as bad as we are.
    I doubt it
  • Stick with Bowyer for long term future.. get warnock in if we want to stay in the division!

We can say ‘second half was better’ but at this stage of the season it’s just not good enough. To offer another absolute gift of a goal again, and to line up in the wrong formation again and have to change it after 30 minutes again. They were passing it around us like we weren’t even there! Even in the second half, we huffed and puffed but they still had the better chances and many more of them. It was rubbish.

They had more chances, but nearly every one was speculative and every one was wasted.

Nothing going for us at the moment, but at least Wigan's winning streak has been halted.
Take it you missed then the three crosses across our six yard box that just needed a tap in, a decent save from Dills and another that just wouldn't come down for their player. None of them were speculative. They created far more than us, they passed around us all game and deserved to win.

All lies with Bowyer too. He's setting us up far too negatively and making reactive changes when it's far too late. Second half was better but, let's be honest, they were still carving us open every time they had the ball.

Another suggestion would be to bring in a sports psychologist and potentially a hypnotherapist... Whatever it takes to bring about some self belief again.
