[cite]Posted By: stoneroses19[/cite]Have you seen the remake of rollerball, came out a few years back. Was absolutely awful.
No, only the early 70s one. Went to see it in Leicester sq when I was about 14/15. This guy started chatting to me at Charing Cross while I was waiting for my mates. Took me ages to work out that he was trying to pick me up!
Thinking back now I not sure if I'm more surprised at how naive I was or that someone wanted to pick up a 14/15 years old skinny, spotty, red head.
Hoop Dreams - documentary following a couple of young American basketball hopefuls for a few years as they struggle to turn pro / get into college etc...truly great film...
The Love Match - had The Valley in it circa 1955, although the bit in the end was Burnden Park. Although, other than the Valley it wasn't exactly classic cinema.
Any one remeber a 'decade of sporting memeories' done when going from the 80's into the 90's des lynam and had the double with liverpool, snooker with steve davis and dennis higgins, ryder cup with sam, lions versus aussies, I nearly woore that video out....

Agreed Wicked Film..!
watched it a few times when it came out, quite funny but obviously silly!
Fever Pitch, but wasn't as good as the book.
Or Death Race 2000. Terrible film

Escape To Victory
Rocky
Rocky also for a typical underdog story
Fever Pitch
Mighty Ducks 2
