Bilic didnt think it was a sending off. Must be off his tits.3

i thought gallagher levelled up today, trying to work out who hes like, probably gerrardOztumer was a constant threat at the edge of the box and was linking up play well. much improved.cullen/Pratley make you feel safe.purrington was good going forward but suspect at the back2

Looks like our injuries have helped us unearth a hidden gem ... doubt Bonne would have got so much game time otherwise.
In every cloud, a silver lining26 -
I would like to point out the massive mistake SG, Bows and Jacko have made in not sending Bonne out on loan in August.
He would have learnt far more getting lumps kicked out of him by hulking great League 2 centre backs, then scoring 5 goals in 6 starts for Charlton in the Championship!

cantersaddick said:They can moan about the ref all they want but he was shocking for us first half. So many fouls on us not given and we were picked up for anything little at all. Livermore should have been sent of in the first min.
He missed the blatant handball for their second and the lino missed 2 obvious offside when they had a period of control which would have allowed us to get back on the ball and slow it down.
The red was a clear red. Yes the pen was probably a little fortunate but overall a draw was the least we deserved from that game.
True fighting performance from everyone. And showed some real character to come back late after what happened wednesday and with the context of so many players unavailable.
Was thinking. Who from this team would you want to back you up in a fight? The list just keeps on growing. Pratley, Pearce, Lockyer, Solly are the obvious ones but the likes of Purrington, Phillips, Sarr, Gallagher and Bonne are all showing that fight and commitment too. I love it.
More than a week until Preston now and so hopefully get a few bodies back and give the likes of Kayal and Purrington more time to get back to full fitness. Then another week to Milwall where hopefully we see Lyle (probably off the bench) partner Bonne and we get the first glimpse of the strike partnership which is going to fire us back to the premier league.7 -
I thought all 3 officials were pretty poor. Both linos seemed to think whole of the ball over whole of the line meant some line over in Warwickshire. Thought at the time, live, red was a bit harsh and pen was stonewall but watching highlights on the (wrong) train I might swap those observations over but heh hum, fully deserved point1

Cullen & Gallagher were an absolute class act today. They just don't stop running. And when they get the ball they never seem to lose it and their speed of thought is incredible. They always seem to know what to do and never panic - no doubt thanks in a large part to coaching from Bowyer and Jackson.
The game seemed to have everything: goals, quality players, some famous names, a full and tidy looking ground, decent atmosphere, rucks with the police, sending off, dodgy penalty, things lobbed at us from the Albion end. Cracking entertainment.
Bilic, like Johnson on Wednesday, came across as a classless knob on the touchline.

Judging by comments on here and from Bowyer after the game, it sounds like we deserved our point if not more. Nobody this season can say that there is 1 of our players not giving it their all.
Looking forward to watching the highlights on Quest, should be extended highlights as they are presenting from our game.

What a quality day.
Set off this morning feeling fine, returning feeling even better. This team has everything. We have the grit, determination and ability to compete with anyone in this league. Don’t let the sending off sway opinions because we were the better side throughout. Granted, Phillips had to make some vital stops, but so did their keeper, how we didn’t score in the first half is a mystery to me. But the thing that Bow has installed so well is the persistence and how this group of players stick together and keep going and going, doing the things that we are so good at, what has got us this far. They never know when they’re beaten and we have the quality amongst the squad to match.
To think what we have achieved so far, now factor in the injuries we have and to the personnel too. Add in the 3 games in a week, the travelling, the lack of recovery time and training. For these players to go to the current league leaders and put in that away performance and deserve to come away with more is nothing short of phenomenal. I’m so proud of our club and our team.
Now the support. Along with the team, we are something that has improved so much too. We don’t stop and Jackson and Marshall said it recently at Bromley Addicks, Bow has said it before, but we are unbelievable. We play our part and keep the lads going when it gets tough. I don’t think this can be underestimated because I know that the players and staff greatly appreciate us.
Now almost back into London but it’s so been worth it. I won’t go naming all the individual players because they all deserve credit in their own right. But I want to mention a couple. It would only be fair to say how much Bonne has improved in such a short space of time. He is now beaming with confidence and is producing the goods. Well done Macca. Cullen was brave and it was a superbly taken penalty under pressure when the West Brom players were getting in his face.
This team and our support can do whatever we want in this league because with the players still to come back from
injury, and the quality and heart throughout the squad, we have everything.41 -

Anyone else think that first West Brom goal was an OG?
