And what if we have more injuries and the players breakdown again, as has happened so frequently? Back to relying on the kids that are just not good enough at this level as has been shown by our results these past months.oohaahmortimer said:Injured players back soon , new signings , safety beckons panic not , ignore the last 17 games, that's not us it's just a blip
What if we don’t make any signing or just one which is looking more and more likely.
Sleep walking into a totally avoidable relegation.
Southall tweeting on Jan 14th “Deals Pending”, you have 72 hours to save our season Matt.
So far MS has been all talk.......and very little action. Even getting Bowyer to sign a new contract was protracted. Promised a lot......delivered very little so far.1 -
But its all IFs isnt it!! - Literary anything can happen between now and the end of the seasongolfaddick said:

Yes those of us who refuse to accept relegation are also using IFs as an argument for reason to survive
End of the day, none of us bloody know whats going to happen!!

Being men and chilling the fuck out. We'll be fine. Stop panicking.
When I was a manager and coach I made the decisions, may of only been in kids football but you had to get the big decisions right. I did and won a cup with 32 teams in it and we were the outsiders. Thursday nights were spent trying to get players registered for the game on Sunday when we had players leave or be injured or sick.
Years later in a under 17's match there was a 30 player and parents melee after my son was kicked off the pitch by two players. My manly temper got the better of me.
Trying to explain to an ex army guy with his Rottweiler why his son didn't get any game time, happy days.
So wrong person to come out with that shit
So I just want to hear from Matt Southall again that Lyle Taylor is going nowhere.

I'm very confused as to what any of this has to do with any thing.soapboxsam said:

And the next another 6 pointer at Stoke.killerandflash said:
Our away form is very front loaded though. No wins since August, ONE away point in the whole of November, December and January...ForeverAddickted said:
Away form for the bottom four this season:moutuakilla said:If you're one of our relegation rivals, you're sat there looking at your fixtures, looking at the form tables and you're putting down an away win at the valley
Luton; three points (they beat Barnsley in August)
Barnsley: six points (beat Millwall | drew with Swansea, West Brom, Wigan)
Wigan: seven points (won at Birmingham | drew with Bristol City | Millwall | Blackburn | Hull)
Charlton: 10-pts on the road
And as said already: Bristol City | West Brom | Fulham | Hull have all been the last visitors to the Valley of late, none of them have taken three points0 -
Wow, didn’t realise it was that bad.killerandflash said:

Really frustrating that I missed the 2 wins in August, and have instead been to a series of draws and frustrating defeats!LargeAddick said:

Red rag to a bull for me, when someone uses my quote and then said :

Only the second time I have bitten in nearly 5 years but I care about my club and have been surprised that others haven't picked up on Matt's words "Even Liverpool are a selling club"

You had a pop asking "where all the chill merchants" were and got a light hearted response back that seems to have hit a nerve for some unknown reason.soapboxsam said:Croydon said:

Was a throwaway comment in response to yours rather than being specific to you.
Don't take it so seriously and personally.0 -

Derby/Stoke on the telly .. Rooney's Number 32 shirt must be a 5xxx Large one .. he looks about 4 stone too large .. looking very statuesque in midfield ((:>)0
-
Potters 2-0 down0
-
Rooney makes it 3-0 for his Derby County side0
-
Gonna be two defeats on the trot for the Potters!!1
-
Cardiff 1-1 Reading
Keeps the latter within touching distance if we can win tomorrow0 -
4-0 derby1
-
So be the second team we've faced on the trot who have just conceded at least four times...Talal said:4-0 derby1 -
4-0 ouch! Also puts Stoke down to -10 GD5
-
Rooney's very presence (a big one) seems to have given the whole Derby side and the crowd a LOT of confidence3

Only 7 points off play offs now.Lincsaddick said:Rooney's very presence (a big one) seems to have given the whole Derby side and the crowd a LOT of confidence1 -

Its an odd result for Stoke tonight, considering league form in last 10 games.0 -
Odd ... but bloody brilliantstoneroses19 said:

Its bloody crazy when you look at the table
We've the best Defensive record apart from Middlesbrough from 16th downwards
Along with Luton we've scored the most goals again from 16th downwards0 -
Our goals haven't been very "efficiently" spread. Losing so many matches 2-1 is a poor use of goals, it would be much better to have a few tonkings but to save our goals for when they can win matches!ForeverAddickted said:Its bloody crazy when you look at the table

Shows just how tight the league is, when the best performing sides over 10 games aren't even averaging 2 points per game.stoneroses19 said:

Hull 0-2 Brentford in the first half of the early kick off
No Bowen or Grosicki to drag them out of trouble... can Maddison have an impact off the bench later?2 -
Doubt they'll go down but can see them slipping down the table now.Callumcafc said:Hull 0-2 Brentford in the first half of the early kick off

Hull will suffer from losing those two .. Brentford are getting better and better as the season goes onCallumcafc said:Hull 0-2 Brentford in the first half of the early kick off

The second Brentford goal was one of the worst I've ever seen.0
