    I liked Harriot.

He blew hot and cold but never hid.

He's only training with us but willing to play in a PSF, unlike Williams.
Agreed and nothing to lose by giving him a few minutes.

Would you play in a preseason friendly, if you weren't insured?
Lots of trialists out there playing in PSFs.

Normally the ones chasing a deal, look at the 3 we had last season.   The ones that do are either hard up or just want to keep playing.  I must say I am more shocked Harriot is prepared to play than Williams isn't.
Not a surprise to me that Harriott is playing, he needs a pre season and he needs a club, so either wants to impress us or someone else watching

Realistically who will sign him? It will either be a Championship struggler or a decent L1 team.

Both matches are first team matches, I guess Bowyer will split the playing time between them

Harriot was a decent player, a bit like Shaun Newton, not everything he tried came off but could be very effective and worked hard.
If he scores a goal in the playoffs, then welcome home cal

    Comfortable away win 4-0.

What is this bizarre obsession with wanting to take back ex players? Harriott had about 5 good games for us
I live 13 miles from Reading and the fans I work with always thought there was a good player somewhere, but never witnessed it and said he was too injury prone.

I win will never forget that appalling miss at Bramall Lane that probably cost us an FA Cup semi final.
Agreed.  And the occasions when Harriott tripped over his own feet and the ball - then went off injured.  The eminent sports writer Peter Cordwell came to the conclusion that Harriott "does not have a football brain".

Harriott just wouldn't fit in with how we play even if we were after him. Converting hit and miss wingers into 10s and full backs isn't the way to go as we saw with Fosu and Marshall. I'm sure we're just helping him keep his fitness up

I think we count as a Championship struggler just now

Couple of nice runs from Chuks
    lapslie busy.
solly got lots of space on right but crossfires passes to him not good enough
jfc looking to open defence - did it once but Taylor shot blocked.
prstley looking solid st the back and talking Dijksteel through the game. Bit concerned his guy is massive (Obileye) and dominant in the air against Anfeenee

we are persisting to play around at the back and almost conceded but for a great Pratley block
