Seeing a lot mentioned online that Martin Odegaard is finally showing his potential @ Real Sociedad
Apparently Wolves are chasing him for £20m if you believe what the papers say
Is that the case or is still looking like another kid who was hyped at a young age and wont ever properly reach what everyone thinks he could do?
He is finally showing his potential after the Madrid move almost ruined him.
Impressed last season in the Dutch league and just won Sociedad's player of the month award. Also scored his first international goal recently.
Let's not forget he's still only 20 and if he continues as he is, he's bound to attract attention. It's possible if he has an amazing season that Madrid may even decide to keep him.
In an ideal world he would have had a transfer to a mid/high level club before moving to Real. That would have made all the difference to his expectations and pressure.
but how hard would it be to turn down a move to Madrid at any age.

True, not many would turn them down.
Vinicius and Rodrygo are other examples. Neither could turn Madrid down but for me, both should have stayed in Brazil at least 1 season more.

Rodrygo played in and scored for Castilla (Real Madrid B team) in the third division this week. He's played for both the full team and Castilla this year so it seems that Real are slowly trying to ease him in.
Down in the Spanish second division, Almeria have doubled their gate this season. The reason? They are now owned by a Sheik, and every home game has the incentive that entry tickets enter you into a free lottery for two brand new cars. They even featured the Almeria fans on TV this morning singing 'we don't care about the result, we only came for the Audi'. That's how you fill stadiums
This month's El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid has been postponed because of fears of civil unrest.
The match was scheduled for 26 October but there have been days of protest in Barcelona after nine Catalan separatist leaders were jailed on Monday.
Both Barcelona and Real Madrid also disagreed with a proposal to switch the game to Madrid and have proposed Wednesday, 18 December as a new date.
Finally got round to booking tickets for this one. On the bucket list. Very disappointed but hardly surprising given what’s going on at present. Will have to make do with Barca B on the Sunday
What a terrible idea this is, nothing to do with football and obviously all about money.
"The Spanish Super Cup tournament will be played in Saudi Arabia in January 2020, the national football association (RFEF) said on Monday.
The four-team event features Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia at the 62,000-capacity King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah.
Spanish newspaper ABC said the federation would earn between £29-£34m a year from the three-year deal.
The tournament features the previous season's top two teams in La Liga, as well as the winners and runners-up of the Copa del Rey, or the teams finishing third and fourth in La Liga.
Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid and Valencia will take on Real Madrid in the revamped tournament between 8-12 January, with the two winners meeting in a final."
Crazy that both Madrid sides are there despite winning nothing as well.
The Super Cup is the same as our Community Shield(apart ftom its over 2 legs) and has always been La Liga winners for Copa Del Rey winners, so should have been Barcelona v Valencia.
This whole making it into a four team competition and in Saudi Arabia is rubbish.
All 4 sides should agree to send out a youth team and piss right over this idea as its clearly all about money

Hope it does work out for him
As mentioned he's only 20 so plenty of time yet to crack on
8 games played. They've scored 7 and conceded 4. And one of their games was a 3-2 win.

Incredible free kick, another goal plus 2 assists.
Simply awful away - 7 points from 6 games, scoring just 8 times.

Apart from a disallowed goal from Bale and the usual ton of yellow cards (obviously one for Ramos too), pretty much nothing happened.
Decent enough Barca team as well with Griezmann, Fati, Rakitic, Semedo, De Jong, Roberto and Lenglet all starting
€25M + Pjanic and De Sciglio
Gotta say thats a good deal for Barca
Pjanic is 30 now so not sure how many years he will have left in him and De Sciglio (although decent) was on the fringes of the team this season.
1-0 to Madrid 73 mins gone
good fake sound as well , Madrid Madrid Madrid
