As a collective we deserved that.

What an incredible few days, a real father and son moment when that winner went in - something he’ll tell his grandkids...highlight was meeting so many old friends, some I havent seen in 15 years. Was great to meet @Can-addick & looking forward to seeing @Exiled_Addick as we jet back to Calgary on Tuesday. A real emotional day & I just pray now that Duchatalatet sells and fecks off.

One of those only those that support a club that doesn't routinely win things can understand. In shock for 10 mins after the Sarr/Phillips goal but we grew into the game and they all did something superb today. What a surprisingly brilliant leader Bowyer is and like Lyle said I hope we get the result we want during the summer. Ran into some old school friend I had not seen for 40 years. He dropped his drink and dinner in shock. Loads more there is well. Fantastic day, but to think we have always been there at the ground, but in separate parts.
Walked back up Wembley (Olympic) Way next to Gary Nelson. Love it that an ex player bothers - and goes with fans. Good lad! It just shows what a club we are.
Nephew I took as a kid and did today, sent ma a message “ In 98 I was too young to understand what it is really means to be a Charlton fan, today I fully understand”.
We wanted it more. The board goes up for the extra four minutes and we didn't worry about 'game management', we went for it. Whatever Bowyer says and does with this lot they play for him, and he demands the positive effort and endurance they give him. He has been almost faultless in his calls, and how he has coped with everything. Us getting promoted has been a stunning achievement, where willpower has featured a lot. We are up, the future is uncertain, but as Bowyer would say IT IS WHAT IT IS.
Really looking forward to next season now. It's been enjoyable going to some of the smaller L1 clubs, but next season we have trips to Leeds, WBA, Forest, Villa or Derby, Boro, Fulham etc to look forward to

Felt pre match we would win 2-0 and that’s what it should have been bar the bizarre own goal. I don’t they they really troubled us and we had to be cunning to carve those chances. Bowyer, what an achievement, let’s hope RD doesn’t fuck it up now contract wise.
Wore the same pants as per both Doncaster matches AND wore my 1998 playoff scarf, so you can thank me for the win. The scarf has been put into storage until the next time we play Sunderland in the playoffs!

Like many on here, I have never gone as mental at a match as I did today. Hugging total strangers, high fiving the wheel chair section and screaming myself hoarse.
Very nearly let logic win and stayed at home to watch on the TV. So glad I decided it’s only money and booked my trip over here. One of the very best days of my life.
Bumped into a Sunderland fan in the pub by my hotel. His words “fair play and congratulations, your fans were unreal” and we were. Outsold them and outsung them. Best I’ve ever heard from us. Showed the world what a big club we really are, even if we’re so often overlooked from the outside.
As for the match, we had a horrible wobble after the OG, but once we got through that we were the better side. Thought we started to look leggy at the end, but this team, just like in 98, just does not know when to give up.
A comfy 3-0 would’ve been easier on the ticker, but what a way to win it. This club always finds a way to ratchet up the stress but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Ball falls to a Sunderland player, who decides to waste time by doing some "keepy ups". Darren Pratley takes charge. Walks over to the Sunderland player. Twats him. Takes ball away. That's taking charge!
After Jonny Williams came on, his first 3 runs lead to fouls and yellow cards. After that Sunderland defenders cries of " Shit! Here he comes again!" practically ring around a packed Wembley.
Winning goal was officially 6 seconds, and 3 touches before the final whistle.
