I resurected this thread and glad I did given the comment by bigbiker2 (who he ? ) anyway when we signed Yassin wasn't he the French under 21 captain and was talk of Barcelona ? He's now at Hayes and Yeading and by a comment on the Yado Mambo thread he's playing poorly. Can anyone explain exactly what went wrong for this lad. His nose dive is truly biblical in proportions. It can't all be down to pissing people off and being a knob can it ? After all it hasn't done Ballotelli any harm.
Appalling waste of talent. Remember being really excited by this chap when I first saw him. Got some real skill -though he was always a bit small. But look how Solly is doing!
He looked like a good find when he first started playing, then fell out of favour presumably and never saw him again. Should probably change my name...
Was he actually the French under-21 captain? Are we sure it wasn't one of those situations where a random player gets the armband for 5 minutes at the end of the game when the real captain gets substituted? I cannot fathom this bloke being 1. captain material 2. the star player of any French footballing generation
This is where we got Pritchard from. Will some other club spot Moutaouakil and bring him back into the league. He is not too old yet and he did look good.
He needed some good coaching when he arrived, the investment might have seen some natural talent blossom into a decent footballer, instead he was messed around with, not so much "Charltonised" but "Pardewised".

I think he was treated poorly but that can't be all their is too it. I remember a period of about ten games max when we had youga and moutaouakil on either full back position and looked really exciting going forward. then greg halford came or something and moutaouakil never reclaimed his place.
He was treated with the exact amount of contempt that he deserved. He was warned that his behaviour would be the ruin of him and it turns out that being banished to the academy for training year after year does infact impact on your career. Massive amount of you get what you give. And indeed he was not the 'regular' French under 21 captain, he had the armband (I believe) on two occasions when the regular was injured.
Because there are too many on here who like to bash the club, regardless of the facts of the situation. Moutaouakil fails, it's obviously the club's fault, couldn't be anything to do with the player. The fact he also failed at subsequent clubs just proves that charlton ruined him forever.
I can't see any club bashing on this thread but in any case even if he got the French under 21 captains armband only twice that's still a huge achievement and must have been considered at the very top of his generation yet has vanished without trace. Baffling.
Moutaouakil got injured from a nasty tackle away at Stoke and never fully recovered. He then had the bust-up with Arter and was released. Shame he's wasted his talent so far
Former French under 21 captain. I wonder what Yassin is thinking watching the Freach playing Spain in the last eight of the euros. Seems such a waste of an obvious talent. Age 26 now and should be at his peak.
Is it any of the clubs business what two consenting adults get up to? I've not heard his liaison with Arter's mum occured on club premises. I have followed Arter's career closer than most and check out his yellow/red count, mainly as a winger. He has a short fuse. Can anyone confirm the bust up was Moo2s fault?
I still believe Arter will play at least our current level.

Arter is a bit of a cock according to several people who were "fortunate" enough to meet him outside a nightclub in Maidstone while he was with us.
Lighting cigarettes with £20s and saying do you know who I am.
Clearly no one did as he had not even played for us.
If you believe the bust up with Arter was anything to do with Mrs Arter then you will believe anything! Moo2 got a raw deal because he was 'different'. Didn't smoke, didn't drink, didn't go to nightclubs and thus didn't really fit in. I'm led to believe that he was very much the kid bullied at school who snapped at the bully. Arter being the bully

A real shame if true however he didn't seem that way. He seemed to have a rather arrogant/confident stomp about him. Maybe a defence mechanism but either way he didn't seem the bullied sort.
If it's true though it's pretty disgusting that it was allowed to happen at our club
I can't believe we are still discussing the Arter / Moo2 fight. Having read back over this thread I have come to the conclusion that people will believe what they want and have their opinions and they wont change by any amount of 'I heard...'

Change it to Kermokilla ;-)

Waste of talent, bad attitude, but he should be set for life after his contract with us

Sorry if this has been posted before.
