  • I've mentally written off automatics now, but any team in the playoffs can win to go up. Looking at the table, it's amazing that we're now 15 points behind Luton

Luton have only dropped 8 points in their last 20 games!
  • Please can we avoid Portsmouth in the play offs, regardless of their form they are a cup team and have always performed well in the bigger games.

Strong start. 6 shots in opening 15 compared to Doncaster’s 1

    Shrewsbury 1 Doncaster 0
  • Unfortunately its Doncaster's home record we need to worry about at the moment:

    Home: W9 | D5 | L2 ... Away: W6 | D4 | L6

Hopefully Donny come out for the second half all riled up and get a few cards. Add that to the defender who's gone off injured...

Pompey 3-0 up and heading to the Chubby CheckerTrade Trophy final.

They are due to host Posh that weekend (end of March) so that's another match they'll have to play in midweek.

Will all these cup matches bugger up their season?

Pompey are this year's Shrews ...

Excellent news, at least we stay 5th even if they win remaining game in hand.

Also shows that the teams at the bottom are beginning to fight and will take points off the top teams.
  • Hopefully can at the very least avoid defeat on the Weekend now then

Their last game in hand is at home against Bristol Rovers on the 26th March but doubt that'll be a game in hand against us as they face Luton the weekend we face Wycombe

Being an International Weekend our game will no doubt get re-arranged itself

So if Portsmouth are looking like last season's Shrewsbury, are we looking like last season's Rotherham? Firmly within the play offs all season without ever really getting close to automatic promotion but still well inside the play offs.

If we beat them on Saturday - 8 points is a healthy gap. Big game.

Good... As 98 and last season proved with Rotherham

4th ALWAYS go up from the Play-Offs
  • I think we will catch Portsmouth and finish 4th. We’ve got two big matches coming up and would be great to increase the gap between us and 7th, whilst building some momentum moving towards the run in.

Best case scenario would be that we are still within 6 points of 2nd place at the start of April with Bowyer having found out what his best formation and team is.

  • Unfortunately its Doncaster's home record we need to worry about at the moment:

Just in general their form, home or away. Yes their home form is decent but it was a bonus they lost last night and good for us :)

still think luton will finish 3rd and barnsley and sunderland will take autos us to get 4th vs pompey in 5th, leaving doncaster in the play off final we will outsell them ticket wise 4 to 1 and hopefully go up.
