Made a note for myself that the next time a pope dies I will monitor the Rangers website and twitter feed in order check they send the appropriate messages of condolences. But then again I don’t give shit how Rangers or its fans react to that event so I probably won’t.
As for the claim that the Celtic condolence message was “hidden away on their website”….it is on the front page!0 -
I commented as Guinness comment seemed like a dig and thought it warranted a response I’ve been up to Buckingham palace this weekend and will see the queen in state on Thursday when I am back from working up north for 3 days. The 2 Glasgow clubs both have twat fans who are both outraged by the others taking it in turns0

The whole world is full of mindless bigoted, disrespectful idiots. Glasgow is unfortunate in that it has a tailor made focus for them to rally around.5

FWIW I gave it a LOL because grown men complaining about a fucking football club not sending a tweet out is absolutely pathetic.
The death of Elizabeth II is a major historical event, future historians are not going to be writing essays about the failure of Celtic, Liverpool or whomever failing to respond appropriately.

European football catching up with both of the Old Firm possibly. Rangers *only* beat Tony Watt’s awful Dundee Utd team 2-1 at Ibrox yesterday (remember Celtic beat Dundee Utd 800,00 - 0 a couple of weeks ago) and Celtic slipping up today. Interesting rumours of Ange to Brighton and Gio is definitely on thin ice at Rangers, could be new managers at both clubs by Hogmanay!
As an aside, the kit clash in the St Mirren v Celtic match was one of the worst I’ve seen for ages, surprised the referee didn’t insist that one team change their colours.1 -

I made a little trip to Leipzig yesterday and today, by train, nothing to do with football, just part of my project to explore the neighbourhood. Only by accident listening to the radio yesterday morning I realised 3k Celtic fans were doing the same thing. Sure enough some of them were taking the same train having flown into Prague rather than Berlin. The train left at 10.25, and all of them were tucking into their tinnies, or on draught in the restaurant car. However - and some of you may not want to hear this - despite downing epic amounts of beer all day, their behaviour towards others was impeccable, every last one of them. The bunch in the restaurant car expressed great sympathy when I answered the inevitable question of who my team is. When I got to Leipzig, they were massed on the main square making a hell of a racket, but again complying with the police on loudspeakers, who in good English offered them supplies of water (no takers
) and then coaxed them on to the free shuttle buses that took them to the plastic stadium. I waited with a load of them outside the team's hotel to see the team coaches off, and frankly it was downhill all the way for them from then onwards, let down by their English keeper, apparently; but what struck me was that despite having drunk more beer than I'd manage in a month, there was not a hint of aggression, not a single jot. As for Leipzig, the inhabitants of this fine city seemed to rather enjoy having them around. But "RB" fans? I saw more Celtic fans wearing half and half scarfs than locals wearing RB colours. In fact, nothing around to indicate that Leipzig has a football team of note, whereas when I'm anywhere within 100kms of Rostock for example, I know whose manor I'm in.
Not for one minute would I suggest it would be any different if it had been Rangers. But the sad truth is, if it had been Chelsea, well...5 -
@PragueAddick same can be said for the 4000 England fans that went out to prague that went out there for euro 2020 qualification it’s the few that spoil it for the many0

Leipzig are a very plastic club so no surprises you didn't see any fans.

Many of my gang of long term mates in London are Scottish (mainly Aberdeen, couple of Celtic, one Rangers) and they made a big thing to me about how the Scots fans want to show the world that they are different and better to the English. They certainly bang on to the locals about how they are different! But of course they'd only be going on the media presentation of bad English behaviour themselves.
Anyway I was glad to be around them, despite my heart sinking a bit when I realised they'd be around. And I really wanted them to get a result against that plastic disgrace of a club.2 - Sponsored links:
