  • Hopefully them and the other scum will draw each other in the next round so we're guaranteed at least one set of unhappy numpties.

Would rather Palarse got United so they are out and Millwall get Boro or Watford away so not a glamour tie but a game they should lose
  • How did spurs miss

Spurs get a pen and give it to Trippier poor Lorente
  • Some of these defenders are brainless.
  • And he misses.

In the last 5 mins spurs have missed a 1 on 1 and a penalty
  • Farking hell. So Trippier and Dier (Thursday night) both forgotten everything Southgate taught them about taking penalties in the summer.

Judging by the logic of some Cafc fans ?
I guess Trippier is going in the window and couldn't be arsed.
  • It's not ideal, but it will be all the sweeter when we win the whole tournament in the imaginary world that I'm slowly retreating into.

Just seen the line up. Sigh.

League game against Watford on Wed night has to take priority but FFS, gambling our last credible chance of winning a trophy. I guess being down to the bare bones with a small squad Poch doesnt have a choice really.

Will be amazed if we win. Last thing we'll want is a replay!

Wtf are they resting players for? The battle for 12th?
    Sadly, yes.

This is what pisses me off about modern football. You're 7 points clear of 7th and it's a home game v Watford, and you should have Son back. So you're resting players for a game you should win anyway.

Same as last night, i couldn't see why West ham rested players. Wtf are they resting players for? The battle for 12th?
I totally and utterly agree with you, football should be about winning trophies first and foremost BUT and its a huge but, the income from finishing 4th in the PL and qualifying for the CL is massive. I dont like it because I want to win trophies but Spurs is run as a business by ENIC, Levy and Joe Lewis.

I'm also assuming that Poch picked that squad to give Levy a kick up the arse as if to say I need signings now.

Given the team he put out, we played ok 2nd half but the damage was already done. Palace deserved their win.
  • Morgan Fox up against Higuain today...
  • Levy cant blame MP for anything, you cant expect to finish 3rd then go 2 windows without signing 1 player and remain competitve, it just wont happen

    Very strange!!

Wednesday get a penalty yet after a review it goes to a drop ball to Chelsea when Ampadu surely knocks it for a corner???
  • Wednnesday get a pen overturned by VAR
Chelsea go down the other end and get a pen
  • Why was it not a Wednesday corner?

    I was wondering that
  • Yeah thats a Chelsea pen... no doubt
  • Dont get it... BBC is claiming that if this game had been at Hillsborough then there would have been no VAR which is what pissed off Everton yesterday

Yet Burton v Man City had it in the League Cup???

Almost feels as though VAR is being used to aid the big teams at the moment

  • Also. I thought players were no longer allowed to stop in their runup for a penalty? Did I imagine that or is it one of those “yeaaaaah it’s in the rule book but we’ll let it slide”.

They said yesterday that a panel decides on what games it is being used at, I think they said there was 7 games and a panel had to decide which 7 games to use it at.

Suppose the figured prem grounds were easier, I mean at Burton in midweek the VAR people had to sit in a van in the car park.
  • Fox - 2. Completely anonymous after the first half hour.
  • Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs all out before the 5th round.

Opened up for a 'smaller' side to get to the semi's at Wembley. More if City/Chelsea/United get drawn against each other on the way.
  • Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs all out before the 5th round.

Opened up for bloody Palace to get to the Final at Wembley. More if City/Chelsea/United get drawn against each other on the way.

  • With Hudson-Odoi and Sancho, the England team is in good hands in the wide positions for the next decade.
  • Millwall, Wimbledon, Palace all in the 5th round. Doncaster too...
