League game against Watford on Wed night has to take priority but FFS, gambling our last credible chance of winning a trophy. I guess being down to the bare bones with a small squad Poch doesnt have a choice really.
Will be amazed if we win. Last thing we'll want is a replay!
This is what pisses me off about modern football. You're 7 points clear of 7th and it's a home game v Watford, and you should have Son back. So you're resting players for a game you should win anyway.
Same as last night, i couldn't see why West ham rested players. Wtf are they resting players for? The battle for 12th?

I totally and utterly agree with you, football should be about winning trophies first and foremost BUT and its a huge but, the income from finishing 4th in the PL and qualifying for the CL is massive. I dont like it because I want to win trophies but Spurs is run as a business by ENIC, Levy and Joe Lewis.
I'm also assuming that Poch picked that squad to give Levy a kick up the arse as if to say I need signings now.
Given the team he put out, we played ok 2nd half but the damage was already done. Palace deserved their win.
Also. I thought players were no longer allowed to stop in their runup for a penalty? Did I imagine that or is it one of those “yeaaaaah it’s in the rule book but we’ll let it slide”.

Nope they're not allowed has to be a continuous run up
Dont get it... BBC is claiming that if this game had been at Hillsborough then there would have been no VAR which is what pissed off Everton yesterday
Yet Burton v Man City had it in the League Cup???
Almost feels as though VAR is being used to aid the big teams at the moment
They said yesterday that a panel decides on what games it is being used at, I think they said there was 7 games and a panel had to decide which 7 games to use it at.
Suppose the figured prem grounds were easier, I mean at Burton in midweek the VAR people had to sit in a van in the car park.
Morgan Fox makes an iffy challenge, Lawro quips "that wasn't very cunning". Presumably something to do with foxes being cunning.
Then, after mention of Steve Bruce having been in Barbados, makes another "quip" about "I bet they didn't ask him about the weather in Barbados". The tone of his voice suggested it was a joke, I'm still waiting for the punchline though.
This bloke makes Theresa May look like Michael McIntyre. Our licence fees are paying for this tumbleweed magnet to provide his tactical insight. Get out you twerp!

In the last 5 mins spurs have missed a 1 on 1 and a penalty
I guess Trippier is going in the window and couldn't be arsed.

Wednesday get a penalty yet after a review it goes to a drop ball to Chelsea when Ampadu surely knocks it for a corner???
Chelsea go down the other end and get a pen

Opened up for a 'smaller' side to get to the semi's at Wembley. More if City/Chelsea/United get drawn against each other on the way.
