I never understand why people say it's a good move for a talented player to go to Celtic/Rangers due to champions league, don't Scottish teams only receive qualifying places in champions league? Not exactly highlight of your career going to Romania on a Wednesday night and losing a qualifying game.
I mean Rangers and Aribo are playing in Leverkusen as we speak but ok
I was clear in saying Champions League as that was the competition being mentioned on this thread.

Its still a good move to play in the Europa League lol.
Whether its Champions League or Europa League its more than anything they would get at Charlton amytime in there career
Seen a couple of people now suggesting that this is all Taylor's agent talking through Sky to get his name out there, no idea if it's true but wouldn't be surprised if it is.
I really really hope that he goes to Celtic. If he plays against us, we will give him pelters just like we did to Defoe and just like Defoe Taylor absolutely thrives and excels when fans get on his back.
If he does come back to play against us, please just ignore him.
Does anybody actually think if he went to a Celtic he would be doing anymore than sitting on the bench?
I hope he enjoys spending his thirty bits of silver wherever he goes.
He’s up there with Parker as my most despised ex Charlton players.
Both cost us massively, one a place in Europe and probably caused the hell we have been through since 2007 (barring a couple of promotions) and the other Relegation at probably the worst time Possible given the state we are in.
i wouldn’t give either the steam off my p!55.
Forgive and forget, maybe some can but afraid i can’t and never will.

No way can Parker be blamed for what happened to the club, other than missing Europe. Players leave, that's what happens in football.
He left in January 2004, and for £10m which is higher than any of the fees subsequently paid for him. Plenty of money to build a new team
Why would Taylor be on the bench ? IF there's any truth in this rumour then Taylor would be playing League 1 standard defenders most weeks in Scotland.
Because Lyle is now persona non Grata at Charlton it doesn't suddenly make him a sub standard footballer. He is a decent Championship striker who can play wide or down the middle and he could fill his boots at Celtic in a weak SPL.

And I am sure he doesn't particularly care about playing if he is getting a nice wage packet.
Objectively speaking he is very good at football and he would enhance that Celtic team. That said, he might not be the type of player they're looking for. And also, he's an anti-vaxxer, mercenary Tory - so that would NOT go down well.
Anyway. I hope his career goes up the shitter from hereon in, and that he outlives anyone and anything he ever cares about. Except his wealth. I hope that disappears very quickly.

As someone else said earlier, it looks like his agent is getting desperate to find a deal.
BTW I read that you were hoping his career ends due to a drug habit.

Edouard is better than Taylor
Was funnily enough talking to a celtic supporter today, neither of us knew about this Taylor rumour, and he is convinced Eduoard will go Leicester or Arsenal. I asked him his opinion on Connor Washington and he said hes about L2 level so fine for Charlton. Cheeky fucker.

Lyle does such a slow walk up that Scotland have declared independence before he actually takes it
The egomaniac will love that
