No injuries from international duty, Hemed and Kayal back training, Purrington also, Page back running, Taylor ahead of schedule.
Going to see some very good players not even making our Championship bench soon. You'd have been carted off to the asylum if you said that 18 months ago.

"A game’s a game innit? It’s 90 minutes, it doesn’t matter what day its on, it could be on a Monday or a Tuesday at 2:30 it makes no difference. It’s a game of football and all that’s at stake is three points. For me it makes no difference apart from we’ve got to get up early."
"Lewis Page has been out for over a year, he trained Wednesday for the first day so he’s nowhere near it. He’s got to play U23 games before he comes anywhere near us. He’s miles away."

Sorry Ben, he's definitely starting on Sunday
From this and previous comments of his, I deduce that Page is history as far as Lee is concerned.

Huh? Bowyer has constantly talked about returning players, fitness and the level he expects them to be at to play in the first team.
Even without those expectations Page has not played in so long it would be normal for him to play u23 games to get some competitive game time back in his legs.

There have been a number of quotes from Lee in the last couple of months where he has barely concealed his frustration with the Page situation and in one instance there was a suggestion that his issues are at least partly psychological.

I do agree that Bowyer has sounded fustrated with the Page situation in past quotes, but I think you are using those that as confirmation bias towards what he recently said.
I have every confidence Bowyer still believes Page can be an asset to the team if he works hard and gets himself fit. They wouldn't have given him a new contract in November 2018 if they didn't believe he was a good player.

I hope you are right and that Page is able to return at his previous capability as I really rated him. On his day I think he is better than Purrington. But he appears to be made of glass and I must admit I went through the point earlier this season when I began to believe that we just couldn’t rely on him any more. My own view is that LB is in the same place as me but I’d like to be wrong.
💬LB: “Adam Matthews has joined in training this week. Chuks Aneke is struggling and had to come off at half-time for the U23s so we’ll evaluate him. So we may have lost one and gained one." #cafc
💬LB: “Lyle is 100 percent ruled out. If we could have had him on the bench and brought him on for 10 minutes, then I would, but he’s not fit." #cafc
💬LB: "He’s had an injection and we’re looking at him to be training in the run up to the Cardiff game. But the target was Preston, so we just have to be careful.” #cafc
💬LB: “We’ve had a tough run of games. We weren’t great last weekend, but we haven’t had many of them. We just weren’t at our normal standard, so this is the perfect game to get us back to that. It’s a game where we can’t lack energy.” #cafc
💬LB: “The most important thing is the three points. We want to give our fans a good journey home and give them the bragging rights because they’ve been great for us. Hopefully on Saturday we can repay them for their efforts.” #cafc
💬LB: “The first goal will be massive. It will be intimidating, but you can turn that atmosphere onto a positive." #cafc
💬LB: “We know that our fans will be singing and Millwall will be doing a bit more than singing, knowing them! But if we can take control of the ball and look a threat, then things can easily turn.” #cafc
💬LB: “'96 was the last time we beat them and I scored. We beat them home and away that season and I played in both, so maybe I’m a good omen.” #cafc
💬LB: “Myself and Jacko went and watched Millwall at Reading last weekend. They tried to play and looked decent. They’ve got some good players.” #cafc
💬LB: “Two years ago Gary Rowett was the main man and everyone wanted him. He’s a good manager and he’s been successful at big clubs. He’s a good appointment for Millwall.” #cafc
💬LB: “You don’t need to gee them up, but I will. They need to know the importance of the result and what it means to people and it’s the same up and down the country. We have a meeting after this and I will be telling them (in a nice way!) how important it is.” #cafc
💬LB: “Hopefully we can get the result and we can have our fans walking around with the bragging rights for the next 20-odd years like they’ve had.” #cafc
💬LB: "I accept that it wasn’t a good performance, but they’re humans and they will make the odd mistake. But we would have been joint second if we had won at the weekend. So we’ve come a long way.” #cafc
Bow is then able to control the controllables. They’re already together, they have extra sleep, don’t need to worry about making breakfast themselves, don’t need to worry about the travel to get anywhere, and can go through extra little bits of details prior to the game as a group.
Yes, people have to get up early and get to work for 9am or whatever else you might want to say. But the preparation is all about making sure it’s smooth so they’re in the right zone and in the right arousal for the match. It makes a big difference and it’s nice to see Bow has recognised this and doing something about it.

Suggests Purrington might be fit for Saturday
I would just like a left back at left back!
On the early kick-off time and being on TV…
