Fabulous tribute to our rough diamond by our other brother Potter. Nothing will replace the void we are all feeling right now but reading all your comments makes us so proud of our handsome brother. Our lives will never be the same and the devastation is beyond words. Thank you all for your lovely words it’s nice to hear at this horrible time x Seetle and Sukie x15 -

Very sad to learn of Dhesi's passing. I knew his father (also Dhesi) for many years before I knew Dhesi and he was a chip-off-the-old-block. Proud to have known them both for thirty-odd years both as a Charlton fan and a neighbour. He loved a pint and a bet and was a Charlton fan to the bone. He had a great chortling laugh which was always a bit of a reward of you could get him going. I also managed the Royal Oak Sunday side for a famous season when our squad of forty included 'Digger' (as he was also known) as well as Robbo on the Wing and others on here on occasions. Spare a thought for his wife, Sarah (a good Charlton girl herself) and his fine young sons Paul and Luke. Thinking also of Sukie and Seetle at this sad, sad time. RIP Digger.14

This really strikes a cord wth me, when I went to the Groves vs Eubank and josh Warrington fight more recently I took with me a guy called FitzyRobbo on the wing said:Been toying with posting something on here for the past couple of days, but here goes.
Sadly lost my best mate/brother early Friday morning to that bastard of a disease that we still have no cure for.
He gave it a good fight, but lost in the end.
Those who knew him can guess that he would have put up a strong fight.
There are many on here who remember the dark days of racism that was rife in the old covered end at Charlton.
The countless neanderthal songs based at Black/Asian people.
We have had various campaigns relating to trying to stamp this out.
I don't think any were as effective as getting to know my mate Des.
He wasn't keen at first of going over Charlton, due to the shit that was sung at times, but me and my mates took him all the same.
Slowly, our friends made friends with others and listening to the shit that was previously tolerated, was no longer tolerated when Des was in our company.
Slowly the noise died down and we went on to have some great days out, both home and away.
So many great times/memories that would take forever to post on here.
For those that knew him, would love to hear them.
Gone but not forgotten.

Little black fella who has been by my side since we met 24 yrs ago
Some on here know him all that meet him see what I do in him proper straight up little fucka who is a joy to be around
I mention the Warrington fight as I noticed something that weekend and that hit me like a ton of bricks
He has always been a small physical fella but large in stature
But he had lost weight since feb I spoke to him and he told me he was in for tests the following week
4 weeks have past and the news was shit and there’s a tumor there and not a good one
This guy ain’t just my pal or friend he is my brother .
A part of me And I don’t want to think about what might be about to happen
I can’t stop thinking about the things we’ve done things we do and the pain in my sides when I am with him and his wife , kids from pure laughter and joy
Gutted to hear that you have had to face this and the outcome was shit
Gutted to think that I may feel worse than I do in the forthcoming months if things don’t go well
RIP Dhesi
