Bissell with a goal and an assist, she’s been electric since coming on. Her birthday today too1

Bissell! Great finish.1
-
2025 unbeaten in the league. Astonishing7
-
the invincibles of 2025. Let’s see if we can keep it up for a while regular season.3
-
Bissell what a difference she made when she came on. Forest a bit unlucky with the sending off for a second yellow.
But you have to take advantage of those circumstances and they did.1 -
Delighted we fought back for the win!Top of the league and undefeated in 2025.1
-
Never. Know. When. They're. Beaten.4
-
Unbeaten in 25 and the birthday girl grabs the winner.
Perfect ♥️5 -
Puts us 8 clear of 3rd place, 5 clear of Birmingham in 2nd, halfway through the season.
With 33 points up for grabs, we've taken 27 of them. Another half season like that and we're up6 -

The top two go up automatically and the third spot is a relegation/promotion playoff.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

The guts on this team!
If we're honest, it was another not-exactly-scintillating performance. Nottingham Forest are a good side, and aside from their goal, neatly finished from a knock-down at the back post, they had two other big chances: the first came from a ball over the top misjudged by Lucia Lobato and needed a diving save from Sophie Whitehouse, and the second was blazed high and wide under pressure. By contrast, we didn't create a great deal, often making the wrong decision or overhitting the final ball when we got into the final third so that their keeper didn't have much to do. No one was awful – though Amalie Thestrup came close – but no one stood out either, and you wouldn't necessarily have guessed that we were the team top of the league. For a while it felt like typical Charlton, needing one more result to achieve something special and then messing it up (and giving our rivals a big boost in the process).
Enter Emma "Lethal" Bissell. She made a huge difference, offering a better physical presence up front and helping us maintain the pressure on a Forest team down to ten for the final few minutes. Karin Muya scored the equaliser (I officially Do Not Care that her first effort was so weak that it turned into the ideal touch for her second), and then, as time ticked away, a cross from the left – none of which had previously been effective – ricocheted off a Forest player to Bissell, who turned and slammed it in. Everyone went potty, the players on the bench charging down the touchline to celebrate, and I fell over (worth it). Dare I say it: that's what champions are made of?
I know there are issues with how we play and create chances (I'm still not convinced that playing Charlotte Newsham on the left will get the best out of her and Jodie Hutton, for example), I know we haven't actually won anything yet, and I know that this is only the halfway point in a season where every game will get harder and harder. But to go the whole of 2025 unbeaten in the league is absolutely incredible, a sign of a squad with no little talent, defensive solidity that no one else can match on a regular basis, and the guts and mentality that have characterised every great Charlton team of the past. We've given ourselves the perfect springboard to go on and get promotion when we resume in the new year. To Karen, the staff and the players: thank you!
What a weekend for the club after the men's result yesterday. Merry Christmas everyone, and COYA!11 -
Thought Forest were very good today, 0-0 at half time was fair though Whitehouse had been busier than their goalie. Second half, Forest's goal came from a free kick that seemed to be given for nothing, but I suppose the fussiness of the ref paid off in the end. It looked like we had finally been found out (I've got imposter syndrome over our league position) but Bissell coming on was the changer I thought. Overall deserved win just from the team never giving up.5

LCL have sacked their manager.0

Tremendous achievement to go a calendar year without being beaten. Well done Charlton!6

Spent a tonne of money and have lost more than they've won, not surprisedWeegie Addick said:LCL have sacked their manager.0 -
Really? They're 6th. The last 3 teams to go up have come straight back down, they look pretty safe in mid table.sam3110 said:

They're expecting to compete straight away, Geyoro alone was a near world record signingrananegra said:

I missed the game today, delighted to see the result. Sounds like more of the same, playing pretty uninspired football but just refusing to not win. I honestly don’t know how this team are doing it but they’re doing it, long may it continue3

Having watched the highlights, a few things I'd forgotten:
- For someone so slight, Lucy Fitzgerald was really good in the air today
- Gloria Siber's pass through to Emma Bissell for the equaliser was excellent
- I missed that Brougham for Forest got her first yellow card for complaining about a corner which probably should have been a goal kick (looks like it came off Charlotte Newsham)
- I don't know how Mary McAteer missed that chance from Bissell's ball across
- Karin Muya played a lovely flick-on in the build-up for our winner4 -
Eight wins, not defeats and a goal difference of only +10. Six of the eight wins have been by a single goal and none have been by more than 2-0. That's certainly efficient.3

Tickets for the FA Cup game against Swindon are on sale. Same deal as for the Watford game; normal ticket prices but women's ST holders get their ticket half price. ST holders' seats won't be held for them (but those who go to women's games at the Valley will be aware that in practice it's sit anywhere).0

@Swindon_Addick is right (and not being a double agent 😉) Charlton are playing Ipswich that date. The FA has said the fourth round is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January 2026.
Escalated the issue with the club. 🙏

The back of house attention that Charlton Women get from the staff is appalling. When they eventually announced the hospitality available for the Watford game they copied and pasted a page from the men's side. Selling an ad in the programme (already at the printers), meet the man of the match etc. This was just days before the match.JustFloydRoad said:Swindon_Addick said:28 Dec: Winter break (week 1 of 2)

When the programmes arrived an error was spotted and they were returned to the printer.
When I bought my over 65 ticket for the 1905 Lounge last Friday I was told the price was £10. I queried this all previous games it has been £5. I got my ticket for that price.0 -

Escalated the issue with the club. 🙏Probably something that needs to be monitored by the @castrust if it does continue to be an issue. Can't think of any other way of contacting (other than the usual fans@cafc.co.uk).It does feel like the service needs to improve (considering we are about to become a top flight side).

Unfortunately that's the club contact that should get you answers and solve issues. Has been good for me until recently. Responses have dried up when it comes to the women's team.JustFloydRoad said:Crusty54 said:

There should be two media people covering the women's team. I understand only one post is covered at present.0
