  • The follow-on is not being enforced, Kent are batting again.

Good move, hopefully Bilbo will get a bit more batting practise later.
  • Got about 3 hours to make hay!
  • I bet Billings ends up batting when it's hopping around tonight!
  • I bet Billings ends up batting when it's hopping around tonight!

At this rate he'll be in the middle in about 15 minutes!

28/2, DBD (14) and Dicko (4) both lbw.
  • Canterbury hasn't been a batting paradise this season ...

I hope things are easier for the T20s
  • .

That's OK - he plays the "hopping" ball well I believe. It's when it starts to swing that he's in trouble.
  • 79-3 at 'lunch'

Hopping, hooping this season he's struggled against all bowling...
  • 105-4 Kuhn out. Lead of 290

Prefer him to get a big score on Saturday.
  • 129-5 the lead 314.

Hopefully we can cobble a lead of 350 plus before the ball starts moving and we most likely get bowled out.

Billings, since his 56 on the 10th April, has scored 131 runs in 15 innings at an average of 8.73.

I have absolutely no problem with players making the most of opportunities such as the IPL because cricketers aren't relatively well paid compared to other sports.

However, morally and on current form the right thing is for Rouse to play in the final - not only for his innings in the semi but he was actually top scorer in the 1st innings here (currently 19* in the 2nd)

So it's the man in form against the potential match winner who is totally out of form. Wouldn't want that decision!
  • Sadly wicket to me - Rouse out for 20.

    145-6 and a lead of 330

He is also the captain, which makes that decision even more difficult.

I wouldn't play him, but then I don't have to be in the dressing room and deal with the fall back of that decision, so it's easy for me to say that.

OOps. I keep saying Sunday. Hope I remember to get up and go on SAturday!

Haggett out for 10. Podmore joins Crawley. The lead is 343 which with two days left is not enough in my view even allowing for the 'pink ball' factor.
  • 165-8

    Podmore lbw b Cartwright 4

  • 350 should be defendable given that the previous match scores have been 241, 58 and 166-8

There might be a school of thought that we should declare at 'tea' or soon after if not bowled out and try to repeat yesterday's events.

Where have we heard that before!
  • 10 shy of 400.....
  • Stewart on for a fifty :-)
  • 219-9

    Stewart 45*
  • Stewart has his 50!

    224-9 lead 415
