My local Waitrose does a great selection of sushi and sashimi on a specialist deli bar. Lovely stuff.

I quite fancy sushi now I've seen that.

does anyone have any recommendations around Green Park?

Yoshinos on Piccadilly is excellent for lunch takeaway and really cheap compared to the chains.

    I love that Sainsburys.

    Soooo much!

I hate Sainsburys generally. The Eltham branch is a dump, Lee is ok and I never liked the old Peninsula one. But this Charlton one is simply fantastic. Great car park and the shop is so well laid out and thousands of lines. It never seems busy either, well not when I go.

There is a place called Taro half way up Cannon st towards St Paul's that is right next door to a branch of Itsu. It is open until about 8pm and sells sushi and sashimi half price after about 6pm every day.Excellent .

Raw fish n ting? Poke it up your ‘arris.

This always gets blown out of proportion. It's only small pieces of uncooked tuna and salmon. No different to eating uncooked steak, lamb, beef etc.

sushi is great, first time i ever had some i was incredibly hungover in a sushi restaurant in ealing common with a couple of uni mates who originally were from japan and they took great delight in ordering me the weirdest possible shit.. and i still liked it, despite the massive hangover (worst time to eat sushi, jaysus).

It’s very different for me. I love beef and lamb but don’t really like fish.

I believe you meant to write poké - the latest fish phenomenon in town.

Love sushi but expensive so decided to try making it myself. Watched some Utube videos and after some hilarious disasters can now make a wicked plate of sushi rolls. Even managed a wonky dragon roll. Do veggie versions with asparagus and avocado etc., and isn't all raw fish. Found an amazing fresh fish shop in Camberley that sells sushi grade tuna. It's ridiculously cheap to make as you use so little of the expensive ingredients.
