On paper then KaiKai has a better career record than Dodoo. But the bottom line is that Duchatelet has still sold our best creative player and Murray said only a % of that money would be used from Holmes' wages. So we have lost another highly effective player on a long term contract and brought in another loan.
The trajectory of the club and the short -termism is all wrong. Remember when Pardew embarked on his panic loan spree [ironically under Murray..] and how that ended up.
As Parkinson said to Pardew at the time [he told us later at a fan's gathering]
"You are signing too many loans"
A recipe for mediocrity.

I think you're confusing people arguing with your nonsense statements about a player, with the non existent people saying it's a sign of a healthy regime.
Signing loans is a symptom, rather than the problem.
Nonsense statements about the player ?
The lad is 24 & has knocked about at the likes of Cambridge & Stevenage.
22
Same age as Fosu, who was knocking about at the 'likes of' accrington before us.
You seen much of him play, by the way?
Irrelevant, I saw Dodoo have a good game under Ranieri once for Leicester and he turned out to be the biggest load of crap since Simon Makienok [another loan]. I was pointing to the overall trajectory of the club, replacing quality players under long term contract with short term loans of dubious/unknown quality. It seems we are all in agreement.

He's 22 and hasn't played for Cambridge or Stevenage.... apart from that you're spot on.
Kaikai made 25 appearances for Cambridge United on loan. My apologies for stating that he also played for Stevenage, it was a much bigger club, Crawley Town.
Oh wow, so he played for Crawley and Cambridge on loan at the age of 18, goodness me he must be shocking...
Have you ever seen him play by any chance?
He was quality for Shrewsbury on loan in League One where he scored goals and was by far their best player and one of the best in the league at the time. He has since been on loan to a Championship club for half a season, maybe he didn’t tear it up, but he is 22 and is miles better than Dodoo, and a very exciting and more than adequate addition to the squad.

Scores the goals to fire us into the Championship, then joins us permanently having seen what a lovely club we are. Helps us reach the Prem while making his England debut. Eventually leaves us but comes back 15 years later to manage us at which point I complain that his 2-3-1-2-1-1 formation is outdated and too predictable in the modern game.

Charlton Life advice : When you’re in a hole stop digging.
Sullay Kaikai deal not done yet. #cafc still laooking to conclude loan move with #cpfc but midday deadline to be available for tomorrow's match has passed.
If Sullay can help us to get out of this shit division then I welcome him with open arms.
Begs the question, who's identifying the squad's "needs" at the moment. KR? A winger is what's needed? Really? Not a centre half - Ezri's off shortly? A right back - Solly's injured more than not and no cover? A striker - goals like rocking horse shit lately? If Fosu's nearing a return, he'll slot in to Holmes's role now Marshy seems to be adequate.
This kid's goal scoring ratio looks decent and Stephy Mavididi could play more centrally in place of Josh but a winger can't be the priority can it? If we're scrabbling around in the bargain bins cos the septic old cnut has closed the piggy bank to outgoing funds, there's better avenues to explore than "any body will do" KR's reluctance to play his own youngsters has been loud and clear, wtf blow the last few pennies on some other club's academy graduates. Don't make sense - even for our scouse gobshite. With the preposterous amount of money roly has shovelled off to agents over the last few years (especially compared to spending fuck all on transfers) I fear a few keen eyed scavengers are picking over the twitching (soon to be) corpse with no mind for what's actually needed.
Welcome Sullay, thanks in advance for all you try to do, it will be memorable for you, that's for sure.
After being linked with this kid, if he now goes to let's say Pompey and bangs in 10 for the rest of the season the same people saying no thanks will be moaning we 'missed out'.
Sounds promising to me and we need bodies, who cares if he's palace, if he turns out to be the reason we end up at Wembley I wonder if people would be moaning then?

Can't even sort out a loan deal for a winger we don't need.

Here we go again. Sounds a bit like Roland is shaking his head. Meanwhile, Robbo's unhappy and maybe Uncle Dickie's having to look for his credit card?

He's got Ricky Holmes' wages to work with. If Konsa gets sold hopefully he'll get some of that money. Given his flexibility, replacing Konsa will be incredibly hard as he's first choice RB cover and one of two right-footed center halves.
I don't see there being a long list of players available for Holmes' wages. When in doubt go with the player of the best quality you think you can get. It seems Kaikai would fit that remit. Plus, Reeves and Marshall have both had long-term injury problems this season, and it might allow KAG and/or Mav to play higher up the pitch with more regularity.
I know you hate Robinson with the fury of 1,000 suns and everything he does and touches, but he's working with next to nothing here, surely you see that?

Oh dear. Some really ignorant comments on this thread, such as - Signing Kaikai on loan is scraping the bottom of the barrel, because he's a Palace player, or he's on loan, or he started his career at lower league clubs.

I agree with you except for the bit highlighted above. No chance.
