I'm not sure this will achieve anything but I think it's great opportunity for RM to come out and set a few things straight - will he take that opportunity?? Will he get shouted down??? Who knows. I know what I would do if I were him - face people head on
Roland is doing, exactly, what it was obvious he would do. The fans turned on him and set out to force him to sell the club, and force his CEO to leave and it's unrealistic that he would have done anything other than sell every thing he can before he goes. The fans have got what they want, did any of us, really, believe that he was going to leave a pile of cash in the safe for the new owners while he wiped of millions and millions and millions of pounds of debt?
Murray will have no say in, and probably no idea about, what will happen from here on in. I think the only thing that he could be sure about is that none of the money from the sale of players will be reinvested in the squad, which is, exactly, what he has, already, said this week.
I doubt that Murray will address the fans, I also doubt that anything he said, if he did, would be heard above the verbal abuse he would be subjected to from the second he appears to the second he leaves.
On the basis that we were promised an imminent take over last October, that didn't happen, followed by dozen's of posts on here justifying how such a statement like that can be made, turn out to be wrong and still be acceptable, I don't see how Roland can make any assurances about which of the four, potential, buyers will be in a position to complete first, never mind when that would be. The chances of Murray, who probably has about as much involvement in the sale process as Bruce Forsyth, being able to make any credible predictions is just laughable.
I admire CARD and it's members for their enthusiasm and dedication but the list of demands made of Richard Murray, on this occasion, look a thinly veiled attack on his reputation. I'm not sure that was necessary or helpful and gives the impression that there are members of CARD that are spiteful and vindictive.
Just my view, of course, and I am more than happy to be proved wrong.

So we have potential buyers of the club at the game on Saturday and then CARD come along with a pointless exercise as i think it is fair to say that not one person from the club will come out and make a statement, all what will happen is make a potential buyer think twice, surely it would be better to get behind the team, create an atmosphere and potential buyers thinking we could have something good here. Imagine selling a house would you let potential buyers view your property when the noisy neighbours are in or out. No logic whatsoever and will get no thanks from the management team.
Every single protest has been dismissed as a waste of time and counter-productive, as hurting the club and putting off potential buyers.
Yet there are said to still be four potential buyers willing to buy the club.
No logic whatsoever, indeed.
Meanwhile at least one part of the management team will be delighted. KR has been desperately trying to get the fans to see how badly he's been lied to, how promises have been broken even the Holmes fee snatched away from him.
He will be delighted that the fans are protesting again IMHO
It also comes as no surprise that the club has four bidders and has been put up for sale in a season with no protests and not a toxic atmosphere. IF i was KR i would rather have the fans behind the team than shouting in the car park. But then that is me speaking with a red and white hat and not a black and white hat.
Many of the best atmospheres and results have followed protests.
A hell of a lot of negativity towards this action. CARD need to rethink this!! In whose name are they acting? A minority not the majority. We don't know the sensitivity of the potential buyers so why take the risk of upsetting the Apple cart? CARD have done sterling work and been praised for it. Nows the time to be patient. Transfer window is a no go, we all know that but it's a price we're happy to pay to be rid of RD.

Ultimately does anyone seriously believe that there is anyone in a position of influence at the club that is looking out for our best interests? Or even doing basic things like making sure there are enough players to fill the bench?
I would suggest the answer is no and therefore the fans need to exert some pressure and make sure the best deal is secured for the club - if we don’t, Roland or Richard certainly won’t.
As ever under RD communication has been dreadful, combined with the feeling no one there frankly gives a toss, we have to do something!
I honestly don’t see how this is anything other than a win win for the fans - if the club provide some sort of update or reassurance then that’s great. If not, it only highlights the boards lack of respect for the fans and by extension the club.

If Murray has got any sense then he would at least do what some others have suggested, namely appear at KR's regular press conference on Thursday and respond as best he can there. That at least allows him to give the appearance of responding to a call for communicating whilst at the same time no doubt trotting out the usual platitudes. That of course won't satisfy anyone and likely still result in fans congregating outside the West stand on Saturday, but I think it's the very minimum he needs to do given his previously stated objective of communicating with fans.
It's not a win win if potential buyers are out off by a baying mob outside. It'd only take Tony's rent a mob to get heavy handed for it to turn ugly
With respect I hardly think a crowd of charlton fans are going to become a baying mob... how many CARD protests have there been now, and how many have not been peaceful?

See earlier responses by others to this point. If potential buyers were put off (and remember they will be fully aware of prior protests before making any overtures to RD), then they probably aren't the type of owners this club needs. In my opinion, you are overstating the risk. Also, would you really categorise any of the previous protests as involving "a baying mob"? !!!! Come on, this is Charlton.
Seems reasonable for the fans to get an update, especially as the owner appears to be wilfully sabotaging the manager's stated aim of promotion. Who can the update be obtained from other than RD's represenativate in SE7. Step forward Mr Murray.
so should we (A) turn up dressed as chiorboys and chant the owners name loudly so 'potential buyers' are impressed by our loyalty
or (B) waste our time and protest for that sake of it when no-one will listen anyway, possibly get violent, put off investors and ruin the teams promotion prospects
or (C) Gather in the carpark before the game and request that the self proclaimed 'go between the owner & the fans' address the supporters with some form of update as to the current non-running of the club before entering the turnstiles and supporting Karl Robinson and the team in our heavily owner imposed handicapped promotion push?
Its not going to be a riot, its not going to bring about ground breaking news of a sale but it shows we are here, we care and are not prepared to just roll over regardless of the sorry situation we find our beloved club in.

Maybe just maybe it will force someone from the club apart from Robinson to make a statement about what's going on, even if it's before Saturday, as i'm sure they (club) wouldn't like a scene.
Do you really think that they will give you answers with people outside shouting. The only thing that will happen is that you prove that the club is currently toxic and if i was a buyer wouldn't touch it with a ten foot barge pole. Flip it to have a great atmosphere in the ground, and buyers would see the club as a good investment rather than anarchy in the car park wearing black and white.

Pre match demonstrations have generally resulted in a good atmosphere at the game. Why should this be different? That will give any potential buyer a good message
Then what’s the point mate even if it’s to drag Murray out to face the press what he says needs to be taken with the proverbial
It seems a pointless and senseless waste of energy and time , on the back of two straight wins and a point off the play offs , bitch face has gone the old bstd is selling
Things are on the up it’s time to enjoy it a bit more surely
I think this is the beginning of CARD (or at least some people within it) looking to force Murray out or at the very least try and dirty his name.
Do you not think he's done a pretty good job of dirtying his own name over the last twelve years?
Yes I do which again begs the question of why bother doing this?
Only just seem this & not had time to read all the posts but surely we have to do something.
It will at least force RM to say something. No statement just shows how much he doesn't care. He will of course release something before Friday imo - wont say anything but CARD has to force RD's hand somehow..
The fact that we could get £4m for a player and NOTHING is re-invested into the team is tantamount to mismanagement.
How much of the £11m Lookman money was reinvested in the team?
RD has just sold our best player for nothing, explicitly said that we can’t reinvest the money and still some continue to say we shouldn’t protest. Incredible.
But it will be a long day for you, driving down from Leeds and then back again
This could all be nipped in the bud if a statement/ explanation or a bit of clarity be issued before Saturday before we turn up to give money for tickets to the shit show.
Surely some on here who have been up his arse had his ear over the past years can facilitate that and save him the hassle of a protest.
What if Murray did come out? It would be nothing more than a load of platitudes. Even if he told the unadulterated truth, then what? Agree with NAL, pointless.

Meanwhile, there's been an admission that the takeover is real and two big rats have left the ship.
It's up to everyone to decide if they want to protest or not.
I'd rather just be in the lib TBH but what would that achieve?

That is all we are seeking via the protest on Sat. Sorry I cant be there but support the CARD Action Plan.

There is also a suspicion that RD will retain ownership of the Valley and the training ground.
We need to remind the old prick that anything short of his total sale of the club, ground and training facilities will be unacceptable.
