  • "Proved wrong"

    Wow.
  • Ahh come on now y'all. Let's let bygones be bygones and cease crying over spilt milk. Join holding hands across the cloob and sing auld Lang Syne followed by a rousing chorus of VFR and all pull in the same direction to get this cloob up and fully functioning. After all, there is worse happening at sea.

But surely the Titanic is a pertinent link ?

  • They've proved me wrong. I genuinely thought those idiots wanted supporters at games

    or the Mary Celeste.
  • Hopelessly optimistic naiveity. We are all desperate for success but there are still those who refuse to see that Duchatelet's model can't support it.
  • Just seen this thread so PWR as off to see "Dunkirk" shortly.

I see this as a last ditch attempt to sell season tickets before the new term starts on Saturday & a pathetic attempt to project KM as a reformed character.... St Katrien, even !

Sadly for her, Addicks , like those grey, big eared , long nosed animals ( Millwall fans ?) NEVER forget.

And whilst there will still be supporters that are happy to hang on her every word, whilst holding their blinkers in place as they kneel to lick her boots, others, like myself remain totally aware of the long term damage she & her Dark Lord have inflicted on OUR club. The consequences will indeed be felt for many seasons to come.

To the blogger responsible for this comedic article, I'd add that fine words butter no parsnips ...whatever that means.

This vinegar p*sser will continue to show her disdain & contempt for this woman until that happy day when she exits the building, never to return.

    Dunkirk's great though...

    Indeed it was, AB.
  • I think we are better placed than we were a year ago, but we are in League One FFS! Too many Lord Haw Haws in our ranks!!!

"My reaction to this summer – BRAVO, Katrien - not only has she listened to the manager and the team about the type of players that Karl Robinson has requested but she’s delivered and done this under the shadow of criticism from previous seasons after admitting mistakes.

There are signs that Katrien could now be the type of person this club needs to go forward this season."

Surely she's paid the journo to write this shit?

    Incredible.
  • Given that they've changed, is the Post match dancing now cancelled ?
  • If course the current situation proves nothing of the sort as claimed by the writer.

Roland not katrien wanted us relegated, but their incompetence and arrogance caused it.

The initial signs during this close season, suggest that they might be trying for promotion. Whether it is achieved remains to be seen, I'm not holding my breath.

One thing is certain, Roland has stated publicly that he has no ambitions to ascend the football pyramid. To my knowledge he has not changed his view.

If we get promoted, the apologists will point the finger at protesters shouting that the messiah and his sidekick have finally proved that you are all knobs.

Well, no actually. All it proves is that Roland is more likely to make his money in a higher division. He has no ambition to move us on to a higher level, he doesn't get football. He hasn't seen the light and katrien will continue to use the apologists.

For this reason, I will continue to avoid putting my money into into my club that has been turned into Roland and katrien's plaything.

Is there any need for this type of comment?

I am not commenting on your point of view just that these type of comments encourage others to argue with you and, in reality, the arguments between fans won't disappear when the Belgians leave.

If we, ever, want to have the sort of club that we had in the 1990s we need to all pull together and I worry that these divisions might make that impossible.

This isn't a dig aimed specifically at you TellyTubby but there is so much anger on here at the moment and most of it is aimed at other fans. The fans are the club and infighting is becoming so depressing.

After Norwich, and Djiksteel's showing Robinson was 'told' he couldn't sign a right back.
Doesn't sound like a free hand to me.

I dislike RD and KM but this is not the case. KR waffles on without thinking, analysing each word in one of his interviews is pointless. Take it for what it was which was the Djiksteel played so well he showed KR he did not need to buy anyone else... Just the same way Konsa and Aribo did in Jan vs Brissle Rovers.
I am afraid I disagree with this. Indeed I have taken it for what it was, the post Norwich press conference. Watch it for yourself and then ask if your take is right, he was 'good' something, and goes on to say 'do you know what my answer was?'
It wasn't 'Djiksteel played well so I am now relaxed about right back cover's.
You say Robinson waffles on without thinking which a lot of people seem to agree with, however I pay attention to the interviews (and frequently praise them) otherwise why have them at all?
It is less that Robinson waffles on, and more that he lets his guard down and let's things slip. He is not a very good liar like Meire is.

The writer has basically said the negative fans have been bullied into being that way.

    Thick something anyway

I don't disagree that it is all depressing. Don't let's fool ourselves into believing that the fans were all speaking in one voice in the 90s though.

There were still dissenters against the Valley Party but social media has allowed that minority a platform to voice their dissent. They have every right to but it doesn't make them correct.

I stand by my prediction of comments from certain quarters should we get promoted though.
  • In May it will be decided whether they did great.

  • Also, we have moved on two of the highest earners at the club in Jorge Teixeira and Cristian Ceballos, which has freed up some much-needed funds.
So where's the Lookman money gone then?

Deep into the bowels of the Network.
  • He's back again, he's gone a bit edgy this week though. Calling people from Plymouth "some farmers" (I thought they were sailors and shipbuilders personally), claiming that Ahmed Kashi is known as "Gary" (Only Fools and Horses reference? Bit close to the bone IMO) and incorporating an Anil Koc gag. I think he's implying that Anil Koc's name looks a bit like Anal Cock - I'm surprised nobody else has noticed that.

Don't like idiots telling me to relax. I'm off to stand in the street and panic loudly. Just you try and stop me Phillip Marks.

Oh bless him, he's trying so hard to be controversial.
  • I'm quite relaxed about Charlton's performance. In fact, I'd go so far as to say I hardly care any more - thanks to Daisy and her idiot minions like Mr Marks.
  • these make my blood boil
  • the guy is quite clearly a moron, but the confidence some have i don't see how, were going after non league strikers ffs. what's the aim get to the championship and then come straight back down as i think that is what would happen. and that wouldn't be very enjoyable would it.

No but getting there and coming back down is better than not getting there at all.

Also to get there and stay there you have to get there in he first place - then worry about staying there.

Just to note I've not read the latest article I'm sure enough I won't agree with it and don't want to encourage it by clicking on it.
