Gonna be bloomin' irritating if you get to this Desert Island and find there is no TV | DVD Player | Electricity available!!

Somebody didn't read the original post!

Lost- thought every episode was a belter ..even though not a lot of it made any sense!

It pretty much all made sense. Happy to field any questions you may have.

    Band of Brothers
    Seinfeld

and a bit left field, but I loved it....Goodnight Sweetheart. (Still in love with Dervla Kirwan).

Breaking Bad - am only 6 episodes in to it

    Sopranos - never watched

Game of Thrones - see what the fuss is

This Life - the series of the 90's for me.

The complete works of Alan Partridge

Ray Mears Extreme Survival - obvious reasons.

you need to get out less!

To be honest I could make up my 5 out of political stuff alone:
The West Wing - lots of lovely dialogue and a US President that isn't a total nutter
Yes (Prime) Minister - nostalgia mainly, but so much of it is still so so appropriate
The New Statesman - Rik Mayall at his sneering best
The Thick of It - for inspiration when I need to swear at the frustrations of being stuck on a desert island by myself
House of Cards (US) - not seen it yet, but everyone I know who has raves about it.

    Buff the Vampire Slayer

    Game of Thrones

Person of Interest or maybe Fringe or maybe the new(ish) Battlestar Galactica

    Lord of the Rings

Zulu (can you have a box set of one DVD? Of course you can, especially if it's Zulu).

Having just read other peoples' lists, what do I have to sacrifice to include Father Ted and Blackadder?
  • Breaking Bad - Simply the best!
Poldark - The original and infinitely better 70's adaptation.
    Life on Mars
    Shogun
Fistfull of Dollars/Few Dollars More/TGTBTU - Clint's spaghetti western trilogy - my daughter as a precocious 8 years old begged me to let her watch one with her one night when Mum had gone to bed.
It was such a sweet and precious time and we ended up watching them all over a few days.
She still talks about it now. Nice memories.

That trilogy would be worth it for Good Bad Ugly on it's own without the other two. Cinematic story telling at it's very best.

    The Sopranos
    The West Wing

because they are the best two shows ever made.

    Arrested Development

    for some comedy

    The Wire
    Breaking Bad

Two I've never seen, a calculated risk!
