Is that a long arm selfie or an unfortunate photo bomb.

Keeper is only 17 and it's his debut. Nerves to be expected.
Had a chat with him earlier and he's a lovely chap. Came over for a trial at 13 and was told we'd give him a 2 year scholarship provided he grew. He came back and the rest is history.

I guess you mean Maynard-Brewer rather than their 'keeper?

Ahearne-Grant has looked lively but a bit wasteful, am sure he'll get his sharpness in front of goal back but he wont get countless chances in front of goal each League game

Ceballos is going to surprise people this season, mark my words. There's a player in there and definitely one that can unlock a bang average league one division

Maybe this is the reason Reeves hasn't signed, Karl had looked at Ceballos in training and thinks he can be the number 10.

Or he's been told he can have one or the other

To be fair if Ceballos and Kashi save us money in certain areas so it can be spent in others then all the better!!

Just spotted that this lot are Hummel too, guessing that's no coincidence.

Not sure Hummel have that kind of say in club friendlies.

Of course not but maybe just a connect to organise a friendly.

Dijksteel on for Kashi. Looking unlikely that Marshall will feature unless I missed him.

2 of the 3 friendlies are against Hummel kitted teams

I feared for us when I saw that their goalkeeper was none other than the goal scorer turned goal filler that is Mickey "Sumo" Quin.

Nah they mentioned that Dijksteel was our last possible sub
  • How many months have they been training and playing friendlies ? I can't remember the last time I saw a charlton team run about this much in a friendly or be able to pass and kick the ball straight this side of September

Who was commentating with Kinsella, assuming it was @Ollywozere? Thought he did a cracking job.

Enjoyed that! Aribo looked good, konsa, KAG also. Worried every time kashi got near the oppo in case he got hurt.

Decent run out. Opposition were pretty hopeless and as for their keeper!

Should be a tougher test tomorrow.

The whole coverage (once it came on via YouTube) was very impressive. Olly did a very good job and I really enjoyed listening to Mark Kinsella throughout - what a top man.

Thanks to everyone for making this a great thread. Admin didn't want this thread as they hate the club and want it to fail but we beat them.

Expect tomorrow's thread to be sunk
