Thought it would be worth starting a thread for bits of news and other things that the club share from Ireland, outside of the matches which I assume will have their own match threads...
It is handy having family from the west of Ireland. I shall be at the Limerick game (god willing) and I am working on a strategy to get away to the UCD game because I don't think Mrs Plum will come with me to that.
I honestly believe this is the best shape we've been in going into a season since 2011. Actually looks promising. Shift Sarr, Tex and maybe Ceballos Sign Reeves Martin and Da Silva + spare cm
Team spirit looks good. Hopefully a productive trip. Shame Reeves didn't follow Martin and join up with the squad the day after he became a free agent.
Fingers crossed we're in for a good season this year. A whole pre season working on the 4-2-3-1 formation will be good for the team now we have the players to make it work.
Other than the Wilder connection I really can't see why Holmes would leave and I'm actually really confident he won't. Seems very happy to be here, gets on with everyone and obviously wants to be down south. With him in the team along with our additions so far + a few more there's no reason why we shouldn't be going up.

Apart from a higher wages and playing in a higher division.
I still think he'll stay but let's not pretend that there is no attraction in a move to Brammel Lane.
There are also plenty of reasons we shouldn't go up such as Wigan, Blackburn, Rotherham, Fleetwood not to mention Meire and Duchatelet.
Yes, we should be challenging but so should we have been challenging last season.

Jacko thinking, "Bollox, I've got to do the bleep test again".
I thought more." Another season in the nut house!"

I think that's a very strong set up

I understand Karl wanted to do a 'proper pre season' but most tours in my memory seem to have games and training within a week
Also seems like a long time to take them away from their families
