    Watford are splashing the cash! £18m on Gray, £11m on that Brazilian forward, £8m on Will Hughes another £8m on Cleverly and £6m on Chalobah.

    No they're not. The Daily Record are and so it's in the BBC gossip section, but that's very different to BBC reporting it.

    So if it's over a 3 year period then i assume FFP will take into account the 160m they've spent on Di Maria, Draxler, Kurzawa and Guedes in the last 2 years?

    They tried to fiddle their sponsorship amounts before and were fined for it and had their CL squad reduced in size. There's no way they can buy Mbappe and pass FFP.

    Agreed.. except I have heard that Brazilian player is good. The rest average at best.

    Should PSG fail FFP then UEFA will probably fine them! Either that or some stupid ban on signing players for 12 or 18 months.

    I reckon they know this and would happy to face the consequences, which would make FFP look like a complete farce.

    I think technically Darren Bent is our record signing after additional money to Ipswich from selling him and England appearances etc.

    They've already been done once, so if found guilty again then they'll surely get a tougher penalty

    PSG are looking to cancel their Fly Emirates sponsorship in favour of signing one with Qatar Airways. Don't be surprised if the money per season in sponsorship is over €100m

    It did look a bit odd having a club bankrolled by Qatar, being sponsored by a rival Gulf state, especially with all the sanctions against Qatar now by the other Arab countries...

    Won't be possible. The reason they got done before was because UEFA said the value of their sponsorship deal with Qatar tourism authority was inflated and deemed to exceed the standard market rate.

    Current biggest sponsorship deal is Man U/Chevrolet which is 53m a year and Barca just signed a huge new deal which is 'only' 47m a year. Not a chance UEFA would let PSG suddenly get away with a 100m+ a year sponsorship deal just to boost their income figures.

    The worrying thing about all this is that if the big clubs like PSG spending all this money don't comply within the FFP regulations. They're so powerful now that they could easily turn around to UEFA and say we don't need you or your Champions League, we will go and create our own Super League instead...

    Oxford seem to be getting in a lot of untested players from the continent. Could go very badly wrong for them, as we have seen.

    Yes, I'm pretty certain Bent went ahead of the £4.75m that we paid for Euell.

    I know that Ipswich got £2.5 (ish) from a sell on clause on top of the initial £2.5m charlton paid initially.

    fed up with that already, can't remember the last time I watched a Chumpions League game
    Absolutely, the group stages are such a bore and in the end the big clubs qualify.

    The last 16 can be exciting as its a two leg tie and no second chances if you screw up.

    But you usually get 12/14 of the same teams in the last 16 so its gets boring, lets hype up another Real/Man Utd game.

    Coutinho just handed in an official transfer request. Proper mugged Klopp etc off. Really don't like that.
