What if, when you're trying to sell your house there's loads of Belgians in there, a weird kid who sits in the corner playing Football Manager all day, an elderly woman scoffing vol-au-vents and a bald fat bloke handing out sandwiches to everyone?
Angeldust saying the first part andbrxleyboy saying hes wrong... think angeldust is morelikely to know than bexleyboy going on previous
What’s Bexley saying
Bexley is just saying Angel is incorrect, others now saying Angel is right and Bexley is wrong.....all seems a load of old bull to me and my best guess is no-one really knows diddlysquat currently.
On another forum there is further conflicting news, one is saying Aussies are really pushing for the deal as it is good for them but may not hold out much longer, however the deal is not as good for RD. Also states a group whose interest went cold a few weeks ago have been back in contact this week.

Angel is correct, Roland must be one of the only sellers in history when creating a bidding war, succeeded in driving price down

Keep it going then, I reckon I have 13 quid saved up in the penny jar.
If we get a CEO or a CFO appointed by RD in the next few weeks then its all been bollox and the egotistical twat aint going anywhere and we are in deep shit
That’s always been the key indicator but tbh I think he’d let it drift on figuring he doesn’t need a manager until at least July and he doesn’t need a chief exec at all. He’s got a lackey popping backwards and forwards from Belgium to do the books. Have to remember he really doesn’t give a toss about the club and its future and never has.
Why try to buy a club if you’re scraping around trying to raise funds? It’s obvious they’ll potentially need tens of millions over the next few seasons just to keep the club going. Maybe I’m missing something here.
Unfortunately the EFL put no time frame on their owners and directors tests because they are so detailed and stringent. The document outlining the process and the factors which could result in disqualification is 16 A4 pages long, such is the attention to detail in the level of checks they do.
Detailed and stringent? Attention to detail in the level of checks?

Out of Angeldust & Bexley, Angeldust is a 100 x more likely to be correct.
For what it's worth I think this is the Gerard Murphy bloke.. appointed as Director for Echidna Acquisitions, which was incorporated on 30th April 2018. No other directors so not much use but maybe an indication of things actually being in motion on the assumption this is the company being used for the purchase.

Is it fair to assume RD will be losing more money over the close season than he did during the season, or was the £1m branded, spread over 12 months ? Either way, makes no sense that he is still holding on to this "runaway train" that he has proudly been in charge of ....?

How many milestones have we hung hope round? This or that close season, this or that transfer window, being prepared for times when planning and strategy is needed, waiting to know which division we're in, this or that snippet of leaked information, this or that arrival or departure of playing or non playing staff. And still Duchatelet is the owner. And still I wait to buy my beloved season tickets. When Pandoras box was opened all the bad stuff was released into the world, but shining at the bottom of the box was hope. Duchatelet has crushed hope because eventually time trumps hope, and we are left with nothing but the bad stuff.
It's a good post Seth. But surely all that 'hope' has only been compounded by threads like this? All of the proclamations of 'imminence' and 'done deals' have only served to get people's hopes up and provide many false dawns.
That's not a criticism of the information flow either by the way. Just a recognition of fact and how nothing is actually certain and that we don't really know what's going on in reality.

Sounds like my house before I moved out, minus the Belgians.
Just realised companies House has the pdf of the incorporation statement... Echidna is owned by Australian Football Consotrium (they're incorporated in Aus, which is obviously why I couldn't find them before!). So at least something, somewhere is happening.. maybe.
