Still confident the Sheikh is involved... If Nimer is worth 500mill he's not going to spend over a tenth of his wealth, and that's before we talk running costs and signings, on buying a second division football club 7,000km from his home.
I think their valuation of the club was always lower than Roland’s.
Surely turning up in the directors box wearing Charlton scarves is a bit like turning up at a house you like to measure for curtains without agreeing a price to pay?
If you want some heart-warming stuff today - have a glance at @SoccerSaturday around 1.30pm for a piece on the @CAFCofficial@CAFCTrust Charlton Upbeats. Cameo appearance from the chairman-in-waiting @MattSouthall84. Updates on the game v @BristolCity from 3.00

Without knowing the machinations of the negotiations that were taking place with Roland at that time it’s impossible to know what was in their minds. I believe Roland told them on more than one occasion it was a done deal, only for him to then change his mind. Yes, it looks like they were being a bit previous from the outside, but given that he’d probably just given them verbal assurances about the sale it’s probably not that surprising.

I heard the opposite happened, that after a price had been agreed and a middle eastern group dropped out they lowballed on the agreed offer at the last minute.
I imagine both parties were playing games throughout the entire process, which is why it was never completed.

Why do you keep referencing the Aussies with little tongue in cheek comments then, when you get a bite, come back with these pointless defensive posts?

What a lovely piece on the Upbeats, travelling from Sparrows Lane on the coach to the game, and then onto the actual game and watching them celebrate both of Charlton's goals. A really nice piece and well done to SKY for highlighting the work done. Southall there as well, pictured with the upbeats and looking very happy.

Still not been on.
Just been on.
Someone must be cutting onions somewhere.
I love them so much, just fill my heart ❤️
How did Southall come across ?
No speaking part, just a shot of him cuddling a couple of the lads while Dickie Davies said he was ‘potentially their new chairman while the company awaits EFL confirmation’ Which I was pleased about tbh

Don’t keep mentioning them then mate. I’ve defended you in the past when you were getting unfounded stick, but your moment in the sun appears to be over now, so just accept it and move on.

Mate, it’s a forum, it’s all part of the fun. Don’t take it all so seriously.

He's never "personally" recieved any stick from me, I just questioning the Aussies and he's took it personally

Move on mate. Try and enjoy the forum without having grudges and vendettas.
He's been saying the same for 2 weeks, p.s not what LinkedIn is for at all.
What is LinkedIn "for"?
This is a stakeholder (and, it appears, business analyst) finding out business-critical information about a proposed international business takeover, from a principal to whom he is linked. That seems *exactly* the sort of thing that LinkedIn was developed to facilitate.
It's a network for business professionals to link up and potentially build a relationship based on their profession, to open doors for jobs and job postings.
It's not for football fans to pester the prospective owner of a football club etc.
