Got a feeling we might get the news we've all been waiting for tomorrow.
Given both Roland and The EFL issued statements on Friday and both want to see the back of each other I really do think we'll now see a speedy conclusion to this.
I think they care a bit more now ironically in part because of the pressure we put on them over duchatelet but also more other failures of their fit and proper persons test.
It's a shame the EFL didn't care this much when Duchatelet bought the club
They did. He passed their test.
And to be fair, in terms of the main criteria which they will be evaluating, Roland would be fine. He's not a criminal, he's paid the wages and other bills, and he hasn't asset stripped us either.
That's he's been rubbish isn't their consideration, after all at any given time some clubs will be more successful and others less so.

But they do think he is a complete fuckwit. Unfortunately that isn’t sufficient reason to deny said fuckwit EFL approval.
Today is the day, I hope, maybe, possibly, hopefully.
We are entering a critical 2 week period.
Is that that strange bit between Xmas and New Year?
Very much so mate. All sorts could go wrong. Turkey problems (Purrington and Pearce), fretting over not being able to return unwanted goods (Kayal), no refund policy (Hemed), Things running out of batteries (Williams), unhappy children (Taylor). Finding your best present isn’t what you were expecting (ESI). It’s all a real worry.

Pressies too small (Oztumer), tree wilting (Sarr), present breaks (Cullen), instructions in a foreign language (Ledley)

How can they fail someone for being a bad owner? He has the finances and as far as I know has always paid the bills. They had no reason to turn it down unfortunately.
Well @captainbob has kiboshed the whole thing now :-(
Ah shaddap-a you face

Edit - I'm wrong!
Careful, @bobmunro, you're in the naughty corner on the SISS thread too as the rules stated only one line each.
This thread has a reputation for its forensic interpretation of written rules and statements. (See the detailed analysis of the claim that the EFL has ten days in which to respond to takeover submissions). So it is with disappointment that I see Bob's innocence being called into question in this way.
The rules of the SISS thread are simple, clear and brief. There are only three. The first of which defines the limit of contributions any one poster can make to the thread. It is not one line per poster.
It's this kind of slapdash attitude to the rules of engagement within threads that has seen us end up where we are now. Wherever that is.

Yes, most likely.
