He’s just a lot less ranty when even someone as daft as him must realise that a full on rant would only delay the EFL and this his toothpaste money further....
Please see below a statement from current Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet.
The club first notified the EFL of the potential takeover of the club by East Street Investments (ESI) on November 20th. The club started to submit documents to the EFL on November 27th. Since then both parties have been in contact with the EFL providing the information requested.
Despite several requests from the club, the EFL have not provided a timeline for their decision.
Part of the plan for ESI is to strengthen the team in January, using these weeks in December to put the building blocks in place for that, so any delay is impacting the future of the club.
This period of uncertainty also has an impact on the fans, who want the club to be taken over, and on Charlton’s hard-working staff.
We appreciate that the EFL need to do a thorough investigation into any new owners but it has now been a month since the initial conversations and 23 days since the current ownership began submitting documents.
The process is taking longer than we expected and we would like to urge the EFL to complete the decision-making procedure.
The EFL are an absolute embarrassment of an organisation.
Well yes and no Gary. As I indicated earlier, IMHO they are being more and more less inclined to accept on face value the answers to questions they receive. As a fan base we have given as much stick (if not more than) any other club to The EFL in recent times, suggesting that they need to put their house in order.....I think we can hardly complain when they are being seen to do just that very thing and leaving no stone unturned. Boring and frustrating as that may be.
He's been threatening the EFL with this for a while. I would guess this is a toned down version but the fact remains that ESI have been heavily briefing that the ratification is within anticipated timescales, including in the last few days, and that there is nothing to see here. He's just made the opposite point.
My guess is that the EFL have taken RD's earlier whining to heart and have warned prospective purchasers that the championship is a money pit, and would they like to think again

But according to that statement there are no anticipated timescales!

Maybe they’ve given a timescale to ESI & thought ‘feck Douchbag’. Can’t say as I blame them.
To be fair I personally think #Cafc should allow him 24hrs access to the site to say his goodbyes to Charlton fans once the takeover is complete. That'll be a proper old school #Rolandrants.
