Arhhh...the Clarendon Hotel brings back memories of my film debut in the 70’s. Only a bit part in a film with about 3 lines to say but great experience.
I've tried to call the Clarendon a few times for a romantic get away with the missus
When's the divorce?
Funny you should say that...
A friend's Mrs called me in the early hours saying that my mate had gone missing following a huge bust up during a night out in Blackheath. I told her to, 'Call the Clarendon.'
She did, but to no avail as they're under no obligation to say who is staying there. Later on the police became involved due to his on-going medical condition, and when they called the Clarendon it was revealed that he was indeed there (quelle suprise). He incidentally was in no rush to leave as he had yet to have the breakfast that he'd paid for.
So the moral of the story is to always get the police to call the Clarendon for you ... oh and don't have bust ups with your Mrs in Blackheath - it didn't end well btw - they've been divorced for six years!
Just called the Clarendon and they mentioned something about a new stadium being built on the peninsula?
Funny that...I just called them and they answered with "Hello, Red Bull Clarendon" whilst going on to say they are moving into a stadium being built on the peninsula.

I too heard the done by 1 July story from an unreliable source.
It would make sense for any buyer to take ownership at the start of a tax year but makes more sense for a seller to get rid before a new tax year begins.
Nothing to stop a deal being done a now and announced that comes into effect on 1July.
I'm going to leave my earlier comment exactly as it is cos I deserve every bit of that. I somehow managed to get Basey confused with someone else entirely but can't for the life of me think who I thought was meant.
My sole defence is working a night shift and coming straight home to looking after a baby on my own. But no excuse: that was just plain stupid. Have at me. I deserve it.
You've a let a lot of people down. No one more so than yourself #maninthmirror
just called Clarendon and he hasnt been there or booked in to stay, so defo BS
as if he'd use his real name :-)
LOL well i've decided to pitch a tent on the heath right opposite, i have my solar panel on the roof for power and will keep you all updated on any movements

Was it an adult film? Hello, I've come to fix your washing machine.
imagine. dalman buys us, the signings start coming in, bauer and aribo sign. we could actually harness this momentum.... and this time yesterday I was completely despondent.

Just thought I’d share my own thoughts regarding the whole situation. Anyone can tell me I am wrong but would like to have proof of that to be completely honest.
For me, if you look closer without over analysing what has been said and done, there is more to this than just a negotiation tactic or Roland being spiteful. Once the statement was released yesterday, there was a few hour window before Roland called Bowyer and said he would like to agree what had been spoken of beforehand.
Firstly, for what reason would Roland call him and offer to agree on the previous conversation? For what reason would he agree to pay Bowyer more than he was prepared to offer him before?
Secondly, the use of having two separate main objectives. One keeping Bowyer and the other selling the club. So why all of a sudden did Roland combine the two objectives when he made it clear yesterday that he believed that selling the club could be made easier if we didn’t have a permanent manager?
We know that his main objective is to sell the club. Even if he is making a right pigs ear of it. We also know that it wasn’t until very recently that Roland started to take the negotiations with Bowyer seriously, that the club had been dragging their heels and not too bothered.
Finally, Roland said on talksport this morning that he found a solution by combining the two objectives, in order to keep Bowyer and to keep the attractiveness of selling the club. But as I said, Roland has already made it clear that his sole ability was to sell the club and that Bowyer not accepting the initial disarray offer meant they were unable to come to an agreement.
For me, this points to one thing.
In between the time the statement went out and Roland calling Bowyer, Roland spoke to one of or more than one of the potential new owners and it was made clear to him that the attractiveness of selling the club would be less if Bowyer was not kept on.
That in turn kicked him into gear and suddenly he ‘found a solution by combining the two objectives’, but really he was more told that they would be less interested if Roland did not sort it out.
Even in the crazy world of Roland and what we have experienced over the last 5 and a half years, and over the last 24 hours. We know Roland thinks of one thing and one thing only, himself. And if Bowyer leaving meant that the sale of the club would be put into jeopardy, that would hurt Roland. He was forced to do the right thing in order to save himself.
Ultimately, I hope this means that the sale is very soon and we can be rid of this nonsense and all move on happy. Getting behind Bowyer and the team like we did last season, but without the worry of that lingering disease in the background.
This is great entertainment Ladies and Gentlemen after the stress of yesterday. Thanks to The newbie for his imput and don't worry about your own goal. Just like Dillion Phillips you will recover and twist and shout.
We achieved one goal after the brinkmanship of yesterday; now we are greedy and want the double. Good to hear that Duchatelet has purchased the Clarendon for his network of hotels and that Karel Fraeye is in charge of the laundry baskets. Mehmet Dalman is a successful businessman and where better to stay than a local hotel where he can meet the Aussie consortium and find out how much they really bid.
Theres logic in your post and that’s where I think your argument falls over.
Of course we know that Roland doesn’t do things logically and is completely irrational most of the time. As he showed with his ridiculous and vindictive statement yesterday.
However, that’s where I truly believe that someone or more than just one person/group spoke to him before he spoke to Bowyer again and warned him of the consequences if it wasn’t resolved favourably to the club. It means he would have been cutting his nose off to spite his face. To keep the attractiveness of selling the club was to keep Bowyer, so he was forced to reconsider and here we are today.

amazing
Bernard¶zs Duchatelet was wondering around Amsterdam.
His wife said "I don't want anymore kids".
He said "Neither do I. Our gene pool, huh"
She said "Then I guess we're kind of f*cked. Remember that little shit we had with the yellow teeth?"
"I saw him dancing in Liege with no shoes on"
