I had a lovely evening. I cooked a nice meal and sat with Mrs Stig, drinking red wine. Didn't think about football once until about ten minutes ago.
Charlton under Duchatelet is no fun; can only imagine why people are still going.
I'm away with the family in the New Forest this week. Had a lovely Indian tonight then got back and saw the result. Feeling pleased with myself that I don't go and watch this shit any more then realised I have a ticket for the game on Saturday after the upbeats walk. Thankfully it's a freebie but seiously considering not bothering.
I was going to like your post until I saw the last line. Now I feel sorry for you being in that predicament. What an awful situation this club is in when long standing fans feel like this.
Dreadful dreadful dreadful - the players look clueless. Can't blame the owner and CEO for all of this - KR is a dreadful manager. Complete and utter shambles, no team spirit, fans turning on players.
We effectively don't have a manager at present - this side would struggle in L2.
If KR had any decency he would offer his resignation.....
Pure unadulterated chite with no redeeming qualities whatsoever. Like game after game after game. Hard to think of which of all the chite games are the shittiest, perhaps Bury at home was worse, but MKD had it absolutely easy and they bossed the Valley totally. The players are playing as individuals, and Robinson is unable to fashion a team out of them. To say we were dreadful is almost too close to a positive....think how abject we can be at our worst...and double it!
This truly was an embarrassment. Only DaSilva, Holmes and Solly come out with any credit. As for Watt, the man is stealing a living; lazy, petulant and blatantly doesn't give a flying. Think that's my lot for this season and if the unthinkable happens it will be my last for the foreseeable future. Until this cancer within our club is cut out there can be no future - only untold seasons in the 4th Division playing in front of gates of around 4,000.
It really irks me that people are arguing that we should sack KR and bring in Euell and JJ. Not because I think KR deserves a chance but our issues go so so so much deeper than who is manager.
Why does anyone think that JJ, an outstanding bloke that he is, but a club captain who cannot get anyone to perform for him or the team is going to be able to turn a corner as manager/coach for us. I suggest you look at the poor recruitment of players since RD took over and then decide if you think anyone can sort that shower out first.
There was a reason Powell built a successful team. And it goes beyond stats.
BECAUSE KR IS TAKING US DOWN, WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING
Just back in after a couple of enjoyable pints with friends in charlton before the game the fans were great for the memorial to Keith palmer tonight Kr didn't even have to do a team talk the players should of known what they were playing for - and if that is what we get!, useless from start to finish.

Why can't you blame the owner and CEO for all if this? This is the culmination of their work of the last three years.
The gobshite is repeating himself now - hearing him say things once is torture.
However bad it must have been tonight, I fear it will get worse. I've never experienced this in over 50 years of supporting the team - even a day from going out of business and the dark days at sellout didn't feel as bad.
Another Shrewsbury moment as he looks to blame the players - not saying he's wrong but surely he has to do all he can to back them in public and try to bolster morale which is at rock bottom. They're certainly not going to raise their game for him if he slags them off to the press.

Every major decision that the owner has made regarding this club has been wrong. The CEO is a puppet mouthpiece who steals a living, the owner has apparently limitless delusion. They are very much to blame
I can't be sure, but I'm positive I remember one of Robinson's interviews earlier in the season talking about how everyone else in the league is waiting for Charlton to put their run together and charge up the league.

Robinson is tactically inept, players out of position and formation that doesn't work.
And to the spotty little prick in a pink stone island jumper standing at the back of the north upper giving it billy big bollox trying to have an argument with a bloke in the next bloke, do fuck off. You were scared of the stewards at half time because you were smoking

Only a few players came out of that with any credit but none did well.
I'll pick out Jake Foster-Caskey and Tony Watt as the worst wastes of space.
Can't remember last time "you're not fit to wear the shirt" was sung at the Valley". It saddens me but you can't argue against it.
Tarbuck booed off and rightly so but won't be sacked. He's willing to have O'Loughlin in his coaching set up and he is the flak catcher for Meire so he stays.

We're leaving it very late Karl
Just rearrange half a dozen words to pan it out Karl.

MK hardly had to get into third gear to beat us.

Certainly the bloke who runs the hot dog stand couldn't do any worse but Meire and co won't have a scooby what to do tonight.
