  • So you are just prepared to except that?
    Stranger things have happened.
    Brexit,Trump.
As a fan base - we can help make that happen if we are ALL prepared to put our differences aside??

It has gone past that stage a long time ago.

Three years ago the squirrel said Duchatelet does things his way and we have to live with it.

As for Murray, what is the man thinking of.
  • Now we're in the habit of protesting we could get Pardew back!!!!

I am joking by the way.
  • Gavin rose
  • If we cant get cp then I would go with the 1st team coach at Huddersfield
  • It doesn't matter

    It's a weird day. I think he'd be a cracking appointment.
He's done an excellent job with Oxford... twice they've reached the JPT Final, twice now they've had giant-killing FA Cup runs... Last season they did it whilst getting promoted from League Two and this season they're not far off the Play-Offs.

  • Someone who has won a minimum of two promotions with two different clubs in the last 10 years.
  • Powell of Jacko.
  • Curbishley as director of Football with a manager with a proven successful track record of promotions and high win rate. Not easy to find and won't be cheap but unless you get the manager right nothing else is worth worrying about.
  • S.C.P

Unfinished business. It would be good to see him back where he belongs.

....and Jacko in some capacity would be the icing on the cake

    Alan Pardew.

I am deeply disappointed that I didn't get dog's abuse for my suggestion. Standards are slipping.

Powell is of course the obvious choice.
  • Curbs all day. Powell had one very good season in the third tier. Curbs had us beating the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham etc on a regular basis, in the top tier. He increased attendances 5 fold during his tenure. Yes he was over cautious at times, but CP was even more cautious, against lesser opposition, in a lower division. I can't understand why so many of you would prefer Powell over Curbs. It's not as if he's too old, he's still reasonably young for a manager. Yes the game may have changed, but he's kept engaged with the game and would soon adapt to the progression that's occurred.
For me, the jury is still out on CP's managerial ability ATM, Curbs is proven, both here and in his short period at West Ham.

I reckon Powell is more realistic than Curbs though.

Plus it depends how Curbs has evolved... One thing I remember Alex Ferguson saying after he retired was that he found he had to keep changing his style of Football as it evolved throughout the years (something I can imagine wasnt easy), also believe this is one thing Wenger has failed on.

Yes Curbs was able to do well when we were in the Premier League with us and yes he's been a coach with Fulham but he's not been the main Manager, tactics and formations etc. have changed massively over recent years, not to mention Player Power!!
  • Curbs never beat Manchester United
  • Curbs, mind you looking at the Parkinson track record since wrongly sacked by us I'd settle for him. Doesn't need to spend money, just makes others' cast offs work for him. And I would be happy to see CP back amongst us. Perhaps we should go for him and Gary Rowlett, pretty certain they wouldn't be stupid enough to come.
