Tony Watt

From a first 11 perspective the back 5 just needs 1 centre back, it's almost the complete midfield and strike force that worries me and thats before you get to 'squad' players.1
-
Did really like him and thought he could do well for us. Seen a couple of good performances and one really good goal but it is clear he doesn't really 'fancy' it and we all know that he is NOT a 'Charlton'
player! I don't think Chris Powell would have touched him with the proverbial 'barge pole!!'
I think the sooner her goes the better now, for all concerned.2 -
Wasn't his biggest fan even from the start. Great talent but was too selfish. He is now nowhere near the level he was then but nevertheless has looked pretty committed to me in the matches previous to last Tuesday.
That's why I can't understand why it was so bad? (although the rest of the team were nearly just as shocking also).

i think you can accomodate one or two non Charlton players, if they have the ability. Watt has shown he has that, but something is definitely wrong. We can only speculate what that might be, but this is not the same player we had in his first spell at the club!2

He has now changed his twitter bio back. Seems all very 'toy's out the pram and very petulant if you ask me.0

Cant wait until he leaves2

all looks the same to me?, he's also got another account of all Celtic pictures.robroy said:He has now changed his twitter bio back. Seems all very 'toy's out the pram and very petulant if you ask me.

He deleted the charlton bit off after not playing saturday, got a fan backlash and then put it back up. Just childish behavior if you ask meElthamaddick said:

The current list and what I reckon;harveys_gardener said:Interesting to see if him and Tex are with us next year. Ditto Kashi, Igor, Ceballos, Lennon and Ajose. Would like Rudd and Mavididi back but none of the others. I expect the 3 young forwards to play more of a part, surprised if Barnes, Djiksteel and Lapslie don't and a fit Archie Edwards will get his mojo back and feature although decent Chicksen not favoured by KR and can't believe we paid £400k for Page. But then Gobbo wants 10 in, so expect more to go. Hope JJ retires to become #2.

Latest contract list is here @Dazzler21 - http://forum.charltonlife.com/discussion/76615/updated-squad-list-1st-february-2017/p1
I think Konsa signed a new deal since then, may have been 1 or 2 more u23s signing extensions as well.1 -
No chance of selling Novak. He's had a totally useless season and I understand that we offered him far more money than other clubs did in order to secure him. Crap season and high wages do not make for a saleable asset.Rob7Lee said:

I do wonder if this coming summer might be the season we finally lose Chris Solly. He's played enough games post-injury now that you'd imagine the whole 'would never pass a medical' thing might not be quite as accurate and he must be sick that he's spent so much of a promising career sliding down the leagues under the Roland regime. I wouldn't blame him if he walked0 -

Not the most comforting reading, may be a decent L2 side in there0 -
I am sure he wants out. I am not so sure that with the baggage he now has anyone would want him, other than on a pay-per-play basisrobroy said:Yes noticed that too. Very odd.
I suspect he is off in the summer and wants out of Charlton
Perhaps his agent has been on to him pleading with him not to make himself unsellableCallumcafc said:Changed that stuff but left yesterday's tweets:

Seemed to me our best performance/effort for some time especially Josh was without Watt playing on Saturday if injury free lets keep the same starting line up.

By my reckoning Watt was tweeting at 12.30 am. Good to see he's having a good night's sleep before a midday kick off.
Or is he not in the squad and will this be the last we see of him?0 -
Well as Gobby announced his team, tactics and what he had for thirds at dinner two days ago, I suspect there were a few of the team watching that fight last night.Addick Addict said:https://twitter.com/Tony_Watt7

4 wins, a draw and 11 goals scored by us since he was dropped.
No wins, 2 draws, 3 defeats and 3 goals scored by us (one by him) in the previous 5 games he played in.
Wonder if that is a total coincidence.2 -
I am sorry Tone, you have your demons to wrestle with, but would you mind awfully wrestling with those demons on another managers pitch?3

True. He's largely had it as a pro, however. Once a great talent but now a pub playerScoham said:

He was walking to the ground at about half 11 so I reckon he just knew he wouldn't be playing. Criticising for the sake of it.3

I like Tony Watt. He gets a fair bit of stick but anyone who follows him on Twitter will see that he soons shuts people up when they start crossing a line.12

It's teams below us that have been our biggest problem all season!Scoham said:

That's because his car got stuck in the blockade. Same as Konsa.cafc_harry said:He was walking to the ground at about half 11.
