Holmes 4 "I'm captain, so I'm taking all of the dead ball kicks and I'm too important to pass to the rest of you" Very poor attitude

  • For those at the Valley...

Rudd 6 couple of saves 2nd half
    Byrne 4
    Bauer 5 big german presence
    Teixeira 6 did ok
    Page 5
    Forster Caskey 3 very poor
    Aribo 3 absent
    Konsa 5 ok
Holmes 6 not at his best but tried
Mavididi 7 good runs willing to tackle but needs a final pass sooner
Novak 3 gave 100% but not good enough of fit enough
    Crofts 5
    Magennis 4 made no difference
Watt n/a 7 only on for 15 mins but at least had a decent shot on goal more than any one else did in 90 the only game changer we have
robinson 1 his tactics and starting line up were shocking
crowd 1 poor atmosphere and this includes myself as i also gave up as did most of the north after 15 mins

  • Rudd - 6: a couple of decent saves.
Byrne - 6: did reasonably well playing out of position.
Bauer - 5: looked sloppy and gave the ball away in a very dangerous position in the first half.
Teixeira - 5: shaky and sluggish.
Page - 3: pretty atrocious. The worst performance I've seen from a Charlton player since, err, JFC last Tuesday.
Forster Caskey - 4: a peach of a left foot cross for Novak's header onto the bar but otherwise exceptionally poor.
Aribo - 6: strong and good feet but struggled to really influence the game. Not quite ready to asume the mantle of Patrick Veira or even Dele Ali just yet (perhaps KR needs to reflect upon the management of these young players - and their agents - before pandering to 'The President').
Konsa - 6: looked more comfortable in the second half.
Holmes - 6: a mediocre first half, better in the second. Yet to recover his pre-injury form but, unlike most of our players, at least he looks for the ball and makes himself available.
Mavididi - 7: tried to do a bit too much on his own but that's perhaps understandable coming into senior football, especially given the poor performance of his teammates.
Novak - 6: a limited contribution to our general play and missed a decent chance, although he did have a couple of good efforts on goal.
Crofts - 5: tried hard but misplaced too many passes and contributed to our pedestrian approach.
Magennis - 4.5: completely out of sorts. If he isn't fully fit, we shouldn't be playing him.

Page 3 He's playing worse than Fox, but if you play kids in a man's game.
Forster Caskey 4 Gave the goal away and was shite AGAIN.
    Aribo 6
    Konsa 6
    Holmes 6
    Mavididi 7
Novak 5 He's not had one good game all season.

  • Rudd 6 -- for turning up
Byrne 4 poor and hardly offered himself with over lapping
Bauer 3 gave away the ball and has no power
Teixeira 5 had nowt to do
Page 4 poor and light weight
    Forster Caskey 3 non existent
    Aribo 5 just turned up
Konsa 6 started well and faded
    Holmes 3 awful
Mavididi 5 tried but not very good
Novak 1 Worse player on the park by a village mile
Crofts 2 was edged out by Novak or worse player
Magennis 3 great at hiding and not working
Watt n/a has his own agenda

Jackson -- 10 for not getting on and having the chance to change game.

Robinson --0 for not putting Jackson on and for believing we deserved something out of game.

That was the worse CAFC team performance I have seen and Novak the worse individual performance

    I thank you

I didn't mind selling Fox. It was replacing him with a youth player from W Ham who so far is not good enough, where we went wrong.

They just are not playing like a team, you would think they have only been together 5 mins.

Holmes as captain was an utterly bizarre decision. Didn't see him utter a word of encouragement/instruction all game and spent most of it looking disinterested.

    Aribo - 6
    Konsa - 6
    Holmes - 5.5
Mavididi - 6.5 guy will be a very good player.
Novak- 3 - the header should of at least got on target, big useless lump, works hard but no end product.
    Crofts - 5
Magennis - 4 out of form shouldnt be playing
  • Rudd 7 no fault
Byrne 6 lively but not sure if he did any defending
Bauer 5.5 looking a bit sluggish but solid enough
Teixeira 6 different pair of feet to the ones he was using vs Oxford (in a good way)
Page 5 quite a limited player, got forward a bit (is no Fox)
Forster Caskey 5 barely noticed him
Aribo 6 decent enough, could have got more involved
Konsa 6 ok game, quite quiet as well
Holmes 6 has a comedy lack of composure - one of the few to run at them and create things. End product distinctly lacking... averages out for a bizarre "6"
Mavididi 6.5 a bit hollywood, but beats his man a lot and creates openings. Also loses it a lot.
Novak 5 don't blame him too much for being so isolated, turns like an ocean liner and couldn't get into it
Crofts 6 rigidly plays his one role (basically: tackle - look up - distribute), and 9 times in 10 is a 'decent' 6-7. Not really what we needed chasing the game.
    Magennis 5 little-no impact
Watt n/a off-the-pace and probably mentally on another planet, but also some quality touches
