I never had any toys. I was the only Charlton supporter in a family of Chelsea fans, so my parents spent double on my brother instead. If I acquired any toys from elsewhere, my father would take them away and give them to my brother.
Which is why, when Chelsea took Scott Parker, I started biting my nails and wetting myself again despite being a happily married and well-adjusted adult. The bad memories just came flooding back.
Absolutely quality game. My dad had his one from when he was younger but had adapted it using the same fielders and batsmen but a different bowling mechanism. The pitch was bigger too...
Had this one too! Was certain my brother was fixing it though. He never failed to hit a century!
I'd forgotten all about both of those! That cricket game was really quality, but I preferred the other bowling technique where the ball was in a little triangular attachment on the bowler's base and you flicked the bowler's body to get him to bowl. And howzat, wow, had completely forgotten that, spent ages playing that
I recall at primary school - all we ever talked about was Evel Knievel and Mig 21s!!!! Had a Stretch Armstrong, my wife bought me as a wedding present (I bought her a Furby!) but his insides went hard which was annoying as I found stretching him quite theraputic - most upsetting. He had an enemy I recall - I think he was green!

Whilst I enjoy playing sport, I'm not very good at anything, except I was far and away the best at marbles in the school playground or over the road in the park.
Used to love my Lego as a kid... Used to get it even into Secondary School and a few years ago started back up again... Asked for the below for Christmas but didnt get it with my main set of presents...
Instead my Dad brought it down as a surprise one which left me going ballistic with delight at getting it.
I always wanted Lego and could never understand why I couldnt have more... Now I realise how damned expensive it is!!

I remember the Evel Knievel advert on the telly where it would do effortless wheelies, jumps and loops.
All my one did was fall in its side and spin round or take chunks out of the skirting board, earning me a clip round the ear'ole.
Happy days!
