  • He played in the first ever match I saw and was player of the year that season. For those of you with the revised edition of Home and Away there're a great picture of him scoring on page 243.

RIP to the only Charlton Player (to my knowledge) whose name could also serve as his own obituary.
  • Excellent player but he got a serious knee injury towards the end of his Charlton days. Saw him in the old Miller hospital out patients being treated when I attended the fracture clinic with a broken collar bone.
  • RIP Big Man
  • RIP, was in the team when I first started going.
  • rip Paul, part of the team I first saw in 1970
  • I hope his family and loved ones realise how well liked Paul was by us Addicks.
I have phoned and spoken to the Orient media guy(sorry I've forgotten his name) and he's going to pass on info regarding CL and this thread to the family.
  • I think he wore the number 9 shirt on at least one occasion. Am I imagining this?
  • One of the names you recall from our past , never saw him play just before my time .
    RIP

    Well done on that.
  • It was along time ago but am I right in saying he once split his head open and was patched up and played on....older CL members may remember this.
