He played in the first ever match I saw and was player of the year that season. For those of you with the revised edition of Home and Away there're a great picture of him scoring on page 243.
RIP to the only Charlton Player (to my knowledge) whose name could also serve as his own obituary.
Excellent player but he got a serious knee injury towards the end of his Charlton days. Saw him in the old Miller hospital out patients being treated when I attended the fracture clinic with a broken collar bone.
I hope his family and loved ones realise how well liked Paul was by us Addicks. I have phoned and spoken to the Orient media guy(sorry I've forgotten his name) and he's going to pass on info regarding CL and this thread to the family.
