At the risky of annoying Mr Positivity @sam3110 (and forgive me if I've missed previous posts about this, but this is a busy thread), but has anyone actually seen Jake Forster-Caskey play? There have been quite a few comments both for and against (mainly for), but not sure if it's second hand info or eye-witness accounts. He sounds good, but just wanted re-assurance!
Apparently, Radio Kent talking about Tarpey at Maidenhead, and Charlton are said to be showing a real interest in him. Dartford were there a couple of weeks ago, and he was on fire, but that is one hell of a jump. Still, we have the Lookman money, so I suppose we can offer them 5,000 plus add ons and Roland can use the rest to, well, consolodate our position in mid table league one.

Dunno why you've name dropped me there mate, all I have said is the regime have clearly changed tack so far, when it comes to transfers in this window, but it's early days and there's still 3 weeks of the window to go.
I vented because I was frustrated by people automatically putting everything down, moaning about transfers and generally being miserable sods even when the cold hard facts show we have been proactive rather than reactive so far.
I, like everyone else, await the inevitable selling of a key player with no replacement, or signings that never materialise whilst we are fed lines about rejected bids etc. But for the moment, I am happy with the dealings we have had so far in this window, and I struggle to see why people are so negative about our opening 7 days of the window.
For the record I haven't seen JFC play and haven't commented on how good a signing he might be, all I have said is he is a replacement in the squad for Foley.
Not sure what is wrong with me, even the mention of Katie or Roly has me grinding my teeth, but KR's enthusiasm is infectious. I have missed my Valley fix since I stopped going in September 2015 but anger outweighed my desire to go "home" again, now though I am sorely tempted.
Signing young British players with a bit of skill etc helps, although they are only here for their resale value.

Go to the Millwall game, you know you want to.
Would love to (apart from the inevitable) but have school related stuff at one of my kid's school.

Agreed but that second goal at 2.40 on the video is absolute class and his second was a special finish for that level too. Has he played league football? Surprised if someone in League 2 did not give him a contract.
Saw Tarpey play at St Albans yesterday, looked good at that level but Sam Barratt for Maidenhead looked the best player, I believe Oxford and Bristol Rovers have looked at him.
Maidenhead were cruising until they took off Tarpey and Barratt.

Sometimes players do slip through the net and get discovered when they are a bit older. But i would think at 29 years of age it's a bit too late for someone to jump up to this level
I couldn't work out exactly what he said in that presser. Was it one in before Millwall and one after that we're going to splash the cash on? Or just one more big bucks buy?
1 in before Millwall Another in before the end of January
Still think we need minimum 3 but we're used to Roly leaving us short at the end of every window...
I wonder if they have yet realised that there is no emergency loan window?

Hoping to bring in another RB, RW, CM and a striker. However, only expect a RB to come in.

Let's wait and see who else joins and leaves.
Not that I'm holding my breath but we're only 8 days into the window.
Someone I have heard of for a change.
