"Myself, the captain (Johnnie Jackson), Richie Barker and Katrien Meire are going to go over. STTV are playing Standard Liege tomorrow night and I felt it was important I go to watch that game. I’m going to try to get a board meeting and have a chat and do some press over there as well about what players I want to try and bring in."
He is going to try and get a meeting!!!!!!!!!!! Why is it important to watch Sint Truiden and Standard Liege.
Sounds like KR sorted out very little when he was appointed then.
It would be much more appropriate if Roland came over here. For a start it would be one fare to pay instead of four and Roland will have consequently sorted out Global Warming.
Being upfront about players needed is usually a fast track to getting fired with Duchatelet. It is good to see Robinson be upfront.
Lookman sale looks likely. Question is how much of the Lookman money gets reinvested into the team / meets running costs / pays off debt / goes into Duchatelet's back pocket or to fund a wider Duchatelet's non football Charlton scheme (similar to STVV). Success on the pitch is not a priority for Duchatelet as he has indicated in his 'vision' for STVV & sees diversication as a way forward. How Duchatelet thinks that might work at Charlton is anybody's guess.
Will Duchatelet support a squad sufficient for a promotion push with view to a sale of the club if promotion is achieved in the summer or try to extract as much value now or later in the summer as he did at Leige ? If & when does he sell the club, how does that impact upon the transfers ?
If Lookman is loaned back does Robinson get another winger or not ? Will there be replacements for any other players sold / released ?
All of Duchatelet's Charlton transfer windows have been distinctly underwhelming, left the squad lacking in depth or created different unfilled weaknesses in an unbalanced squad.
It will be interesting to see what happens with this one. It will give a good indication of the direction of travel. If Robinson does not get his transfer demands met or finds he has crossed one of Duchatelet's red lines does he hang about or do we get O'Loughlin sooner than expected ? Is Duchatelet going to sell now or later ?
For me Robinson has done far too much talking off the pitch but in this instance, I am glad he has. Anybody's guess what will happen.

He needs to scout the network signings arriving from STTV so who knows who they are before they randomly turn up at the training ground
As always RD hasn't got a clue. One or two days lost in preparation for the next game. Surely this is KM'S job to visit Belgium. Also why can't they use a video conferencing system instead of traveling to Belgium, after all RD is suppose to be in IT!

Because, I suspect, Roland is an egotistical twat who wants to reinforce his position at the top of his own little dung heap by making his minions scurry around at his behest.
