Any news on where Kevin Nugent is now?

Not on the bench and Pearce said at Bromley Addicks he's not been around the training ground.

But he's not officially left as not been said on the OS and he's not pitched up at Coventry

VOTV saying he and Robinson had a falling out after Robinson bollocked the players after a game and saying Nugent agreed when Nugent had said before it was a bad idea.

    Is he on gardening leave?

Is he in dispute over his pay-off?

Anyone checked to see if he's booked a seat on the Eurostar on the 4th? ;)

what was he doing right ? .. he had the confidence of the players, knew their strengths and weaknesses, knew how to get the best from them and set them up to play to their collective strengths and to cover their collective weaknesses .. other than that ? .. zilch ((:>)...

Be no surprise if he's fallen out with Robinson, who is, as Stevie Wonder would have it .. 'Mistra Know It All'

Garpevine is correct, especially the bit about not looking for how a player fits into a team when they buy him - they have other considerations around value which means we are always imbalanced squad wise.

I think statistics have a part to play in football, but you are only as good as your data and this can't be achieved in a geek's bedroom. This requires a team of analysts and massive budgets. The cheaper option is to appoint a manager who knows what he is doing and let him decide what he needs. Not be part of it but let him control transfers around a given budget.

The most simple statistic is goals - this we can do anywhere - the goal ratios of our players through their careers suggest they are not prolific - To me, only 3 are probably not below average - Bauer, Tex and Holmes. But your expectations of Bauer and Tex is obviously less. Makalele was a great player for Chelsea, but he couldn't score for toffee - it didn't matter because those around him could. You have to consider this when bringing players in and picking the side. You can't have a side littered with below average goal scorers and expect to score goals. No matter what their other qualities are.

Seeing as we had 16 corners yesterday, it was a big mistake of Robinson's given he knows the team lacks goals not to play Tex. OK, he didn't know we would have 16 corners - but when you are so short of average or above average goalscorers in the team - two of the three that aren't below average shouldn't be on the bench. Note I am saying below average goal-scorers- not below average players!

Well if Moose is wrong and he is still employed by us then he only has to wait a month or two until KR goes, if he wants the job that is!

Maybe we have loaned him out and are still paying 2/3 of his salary..:
