    CHARLTON SUBS | Mitov, Johnson, Fox, Charles-Cook, Umerah, Ajose, Ahearne-Grant. #cafc #CAFCLive

Considering the number of players missing, that's a pretty adventurous line up.

Looks great going forward - but not much defensive cover from midfield.
There's a bit of pace at the back, so Robbo must want to play a high line compressing the space between our defence and forwards.

The fullbacks will be expected to get forward, keeping the midfield narrow with Jackson sitting offering a bit of cover and tidy passing range as long as he himself doesn't get exposed.

Everybody is going to need to work their arses off.

  • As I see it. The compete injured/banned/rested list is as follows.

    Pearce
    Bauer
    Solly
    Rudd
    Holmes
    Kashi
    Ulvestad
    Crofts
    Magennis
    Ajose

Jesus add Lennon to that squad and you could field it as a very competitive side!!
Apart from being injured or banned!

The problem here is that Jackson doesn't really offer any cover. As you say, a lot of hard work is going to be needed, so I guess he's not planning on using too many of these against the Posh as they'll be knackered.

I can see this being like our teams in the '70s when the plan was to not care how many we conceded as long as we scored at least one more.

I was looking at that line up and thinking along the same lines with that Brighton at home match
  • Very attacking line up? Goals aplenty but 4-3 to Franchise FC.
  • Crap defending but looked offside...no atmosphere in the ground
