He may well turn out to be great for the club, I sincerely hope he does, but to suggest this is a new beginning (with the context of Duchatelet's ownership) is fanciful to the extreme.
Plenty yet to be established before we should accept the management of the club.
- Duchatelet remains the owner - Duchatelet continues to meddle in team affairs - The incompetent Katrien Meire remains the CEO - Thomas Driesen's inolvement continues - The club continue to believe that the issues remain elsewhere and that it is a small group of ringleaders shouting for a non-existent majority. As proved by the quite frankly ridiculous investment in PR and communications.
For me, the change is minimal and I continue to find the situation depressing, despite what Karl Robinson says in a post-match interview.
The boycotters are perfectly justified.
FFS - Would you be happy if we had lost - Just no pleasing some people!
Do you not think it's a little unrealistic to ask 4,000 people to reverse their position after two goalless draws? At least let's win the cup replay first!
No not unrealistic - but just trying ask to ask the better-nature of some of our fans to give him a chance and come and support the team.I really don't think that is asking to much.
I think you're talking rubbish tbf.
Ask Karl Robinson if he thought the fans came and supported the team today and see what he says.
Both he and the team received tremendous support from start to finish

I think that he's asking for fans to return to the home games, not that I agree with him.
A signal of intent would be removing Meire from her woefully undeserved position; she has done nothing to suggest she should be our CEO. On Robinson, his attitude is infectious and with a bit of luck and backing in the transfer market should see us into the play off spots, but we need to start winning games rather than talking about winning games. Best of Luck, KR.
I'm trying to persuade myself that if we get promoted back to the championship Roland might decide that he can sell and leave without loss of face, and at least the grief he gets in Belgium will stop. This allows me to feel that wanting the team and KR to do well is not at odds with my deep-seated desire to see the end of this monumentally awful regime, and in fact may hasten its departure. I might be wrong about that, but it helps resolve the internal conflict and i'm regaining enthusiasm for good results again. I was starting to wonder if it would ever return. And KR has impressed me so far, I like the confidence he seems to instill.

If RD meant business then that is precisely what he would do. However, that will not happen.
Not scored a goal under KR yet so jury's out. Certainly talks a good game but that doesn't win football matches. I'm more than happy he is here but it's the regime that will ultimately determine whether he is a success or not.
Just take a listen to his post match press conferenc at Bradford. The guy is just brimming with confidence and a passion for our club we should all be Proud of .Despite lacking 5or 6 players and playing with some who were obviously not 100% we nearly beat a team unbeaten at home this season. He set his team up to win the game -no disrespect to Slade but he would have played for a draw.I really hope that this could be the start of anew beginning and would ask all of you who have boycotted the club this season to come back to the Valley next week and get right behind the team. They Deserve your support.COYR
Wow, some people are so easily pleased. Whilst I was happy with the appointment of Robinson, it's FAR to early to start jumping up and down and declaring a new dawn. As others have already said, two 0-0 draws so far, and to be fair, neither team were world beaters. Over the next 8 league games we have Millwall to play twice, plus Bolton and Scunthorpe as well as four games against opposition we definitely should be beating if we have any hope of getting out of this division. Let's wait and see where we are at the end of January. Two games is just not enough to make any judgement on the whether he can actually manage the team, or whether he is just very good at talking about it.

I've been extremely impressed with Robinson so far. I just hope that come January when we offload Lookman and our wonderful scouting network offers him some nomark from Belgium or Hungary he is as optimistic.
None of our signings in the last 12 months have been network style rubbish to be fair.
All of Slade's signings were from British clubs, and most of them were players I could easily imagine the Powell of 2011 signing. Holmes, Magennis, Ajose, Rudd, Pearce etc. We might be a couple of players short, but most L1 teams would be happy with that type of player.
I am a boycotter and two 0-0 draws and Karl Robinson are not going to temp me to give my money to the club until Roland has gone.
#notapennymore
I have a nasty feeling the club will go under before RD sells up! I'm not 100% boycotting is working! But I still hate them for the mess they've made us!!

Er, no. I haven't stayed away because of Powell, Riga, Peeters, Luzon, Fraye, Riga, Slade, Nugent or Robinson. Anyway, according to the CEO I'm too old to attend these days.
Dowie was enthusiastic. In all seriousness, the early signs are positive but let's see how the window goes
Exactly. I like Robinson and have been impressed by what he's said so far. But actions speak louder than words, let's see what happens in the window.
It's far too soon to get over excited over two 0-0 draws, especially as if we lose the replay, one of those draws counts for nothing. If he wins at Millwall then we can get excited!
I was talking to an MKD's fan at last week's game and he said they're all gutted he has left. He said he's great with the fans.
I'm encouraged from what I've seen so far.
He maybe great with fans, great with the press, great at saying what everyone wants to hear (eg I want to meet with fans to hear about the protests) but unless he produces a winning formula pretty sharpish that's not enough IMHO. Way way too early to get excited.
You want everything to be OK @ray traecy so you latch on any little thing.
We drew 0 - 0
In our last away game we won 5- 1
I like Robinson, I like that he is positive and talks the club up but far too early to declare yet another new era under this regime.
We were told the same thing about Slade. New era, British, got to stop the protests, everything has changed, nothing can go wrong, blah blah blah.
Meanwhile Chris O'Loughlin appears in the directors box and Slade is sacked. Almost straight away Cuckoo Chris is on the coaching staff. Nothing has changed even if KR brings the victories I want in every game.
If I can blag a freebie I'll be there v Peterborough cheering the team on, hopefully to three points.

Wow, we've got the same old meddling regime but because they've now appointed a manager who's still a bit chirpy we should all be as happy as Larry. Unbelievable.

It's each to their own. I personally feel that it will be less likely that Roland will sell if RDp
Sorry, but it's sad that some of our fans are only happy when they have something to moan about
No! All of our fans are happiest when they've genuinely got something to be happy about. Sadly it's been a very long time and there's no sign of anything changing soon.

If it's a positive squad and he is happy then great.
If players have been moved on and he is not happy with the squad then he won't bottle up his feelings. He will be very honest!!
If he still loves the game when he's 50 odd.
The potential exists for him to be one of the best British managers in the country.
