I make that 37 new Managers appointed since the end of last season - and we are still in November. Only six Managers have been in their jobs for more than five years and just 15 have been in situ for more than three years - one of those is Karl Robinson at Oxford and another is Matt Taylor at Exeter who continues to do a fantastic job. Yesterday's defeat was only Exeter's second in all competitions and they currently sit in 2nd in League 2.1

4.5 year deal, which seems bizarre to me
Interesting that he was there already as U23 manager, took over as caretaker when Wilder was sacked, but was then overlooked for the permanent job0 -
Eric Cantona has just posted a video saying he's the new man it's boss!0
-
Mental decision really. He was Sheff Utd's U23 coach but as a first team manager in recent years he was abysmal at Leeds and sacked after less than a year at Hibernian.
He'd have probably jumped at the chance to sign a 1.5 year deal so probably couldn't believe his luck when he was offered 4.5 years!

are we sure it wasn't a four and a half hour deal?2

Ralf Rangnick set to be appointed interim Man U manager

Actually seems a pretty good appointment.2
-
Very good appointment although he's clearly got his eye on a more permanent role there, not necessarily as manager, maybe Director of football or something.
He isn't just going there for 6 months and then waving goodbye surely.0 -

Rangnick has agreed a six-month deal until the end of May. He will have a further two years in a consultancy role.
So the idea wouod seem to be that he comes in, sorts them into something resembling a coached and organised team then moves upstairs to work alongside a Pochettino or whoever.
